Welcome to our Annual Luxury Market Report. The American economy finished 2017 on a firm footing as did the residential real estate market for Long Island and Queens. This report shares Closed Sales ($1.5 Million and above) for the areas within Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Queens, and the East End serviced by our 27 sales offices. By definition, $1.5 Million is the benchmark typically used to identify the luxury segment but we all recognize there are variations based on location. I’m proud to mention that Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty completed 2017 with $3.3 Billion in Closed Sales Volume (our highest ever), and we also closed more than twice as many transactions above $3 Million than our nearest competitor.
