A map of Japan published in ‘Le tour du monde’ in 1860, with an inset map of the Kuril Islands. Alexandre Vuillemin (1812-1880) was a French cartographer and editor. ‘Le tour du monde’ was a French weekly travel journal first published in January 1860.
