Welcome to Évora!

HOW TO GET TO EVORA & HOW TO MOVE AROUND The easiest way to Arrive at Évora is from Lisboa (depending on wich section you’re from). In Sete Rios Bus Station take the bus to here. The trip costs around 12.50 € and takes approximately 1h30 min to 1h45 min. Buy the trip at Rede Expressos Bus Company (http://www.rede-expressos.pt/ default.aspx). Don´t forget to ask for student ticket discount!

We don´t advise you to take the train to Évora. There is only 4 trains a day and the train station is to far from the city center.

HOW TO GET TO EVORA & HOW TO MOVE AROUND By Car Since Évora is an Historical and Touristic City, we have a lot of paid parking spots, but dont worry because you can bring your car and park in a free spot near the University where students tend to leave their cars. Best part? you’re not going to need the car till you’re gone

Since Évora is an Historical and Touristic City, we have a lot of paid parking spots, but dont worry because you can bring your car and park in a free spot near the University where students tend to leave their cars. Best part? you’re not going to need the car till you’re gone. Évora is a small city and you can move around easily without any public or private transportation. Also, forget about Uber. Here we walk everywhere (Welcome to Alentexas).

7000, Av. Lino de Carvalho 1E, 7005-469 Évora

WHERE TO SLEEP

Pousada de Évora dos SSAP R. do Raimundo 112, 7000-661 Évora

The “Pousada de Évora dos SSAP” is located in the center of Historical Évora, 19min walking and 4min by car from the Bus Station. You’re going to be really near the main square, “Praça do Giraldo”, where you can find artisanal shops, musicians playing in the streets and lots of old people enjoying the sun. Giraldo is our Rome, all roads lead to it. The rooms are in “dormitory” regime (“camarata”) You’ll have a code for the outside door (it will be given in the whatsapp and facebook group)

TRAINING

Escola de Ciências Sociais, Colégio do Espírito Santo (CES)

R. do Cardeal Rei 6, 7000-645 Évora The University of Évora doesn’t have a campus, the “Schools” are all over the city. In CES, where the training is going to happen, you’ll be in the second oldest University in Portugal (founded in 1559). When you arrive, notice the names outside the classrooms, each one has its own name acording to what was lectured there (having the tiles painted accordly)
