a selected works in architectural journey by

DANIAL HAZIQ 2015-2019

If there is no idea in the drawing, there is no idea in the constructed project. That’s the expression of the idea. Architects make drawings that other people build. I make the drawings. If someone wants to build from those, that’s up to them. I feel I’m making architecture. I believe the building comes into being as soon as it’s drawn. Lebbeus Woods

Based on the analysis, there is lacking of local food restaurant in Cyberjaya as mostly fast food and western food conquer the commercial area. It is because the hygiene and unhealthy produce of local food make the costumer not to eat the food. The other reason would be the busy environment as they need to eat as fast as they can to fulfil the lunch time. In order to structuralize the design strategy for the creative traditional food products, diaspora term have been chosen as a concept of this project.

Diaspora is the dispersion or spread of any people from their original homeland. This term is chosen because this has similar intention as what the Cyberjaya want to solve the issue that happens at there. Cyberjaya is lack of commercial and entertainment area. So basically this project will fulfill the gap which is combining the commercial, education, and innovation. The division of spaces are the key point for the building to be function as what the site request and deliver the health and hygiene innovation of traditional food.

Above map shows a mix-used and commercial building surrounded the site.

Above map shows a technopreneur building (Private Sector).

IDEA PROBLEMS

Intention: To propose a centre that make a research on nutrition, process, and ingrediants in Malaysian local food and promote to other country, to create a social wellbeing towards the workers and the community which connecting the food, cooking, and people, and To create an awareness of healthy lifestyle among Malaysian community.

Design Strategies: Malaysian FoodLAB can act as catalyst for the city to develop in a sustainable ways, not only in material selection but also in our lifestyle. Malaysian FoodLAB functioning as place to showcasting the healthy food production to public and also medium for public and innovator to change idea and problems. Creating a usable green space with healthy food production for Cyberjaya to integrate and socialize. The idea also follow Cyberjaya plan The Twelve (12) dimensions of Smart City : Smart Food& Agro.

First floor mostly full with entertainment activity. The most likely activity is experimental kitchen hall, a hall full with innovator with different kind of food innovation. It is also provide a healthy cafe which serve Malaysian food that been approved to be a healthy stated. There is also a Food Gallery which can entertain children with different kind of technology for example VR and AR system that showcase a Malaysian food.

The theme of second level is about educational and research. Books area is for people who want to gather all the Malaysian and overseas food knowledge. There is a sensory and evaluation center for food innovator may test their food to the public. Skudai Riverfront Center

Individual Project : Mohamad Danial Haziq bin Mohd Hamdan Tutors : Ar. Aznida Azlan, Ar. Azli Jamil, Dr. Azlina Abu Bakar, Dr. Dalilah, and Ar. Nik Fazlysham.

In modern community, people will include in community no matter what age, race, or gender. Each community started from foundation of life, even for arts, it will have a cultural arts which found as foundation of arts. Does cultural values still implemented among new generation? The land use for the ‘green site’ along the river bank is delineated for open area (sport & recreational). Therefore the proposed project should be a community-based project to support the revitalization of Sungai Skudai area and in order to promote the well-being of the inhabitants.

It can be either Community Centre, Wellness Center, Visitor Center, Cultural Center, and etc. The project should turn out to be a catalyst to regenerate Sg. Skudai area. Site itself have two seperated edges between residential and town. So the community will feel restricted by the edges. The distance between the residential and the location of current activity that they need is quite far. The reason why the community of the site feel restricted by those edges.

PROJECT LIST: PANTAI HOSPITAL FACADE TIGERLANE GREEN HOME OFFICE CALDWELL WEDDING HALL

Team members : Ar. Shyuan Kuee, Tan Boon Im, Mohamad Danial Haziq bin Mohd Hamdan, Mohd Shukri, Shahirol and Wai Toh

Current issues on existing Pantai Hospital Design are dated and conventional facade design, no distinct corporate identity, drop off area and porch area with limited space and dated design, and no consideration on green architecture. Based on the issue, the propose concept of Pantai Hospital Pantai Facade are greenery, provide identity hospital image, and provide sun screening.

NARRATIVE: Taking the analogy from a plant, the proposed building should have the following qualities:- Self sustainable - Responsive & adjustable - Contribute to provide comfortable living environment Concept The client chose four leaf clover as a symbol of luck as her luck of getting hold a perfect site. Clovers occasionally have four leaflets, instead of the usual three. Appearing only 1/ 10,000 plants, finding one has come to be considered extremely lucky. The analogy serves as the best concept for designing the building.

Natural Lighting is always the best way for office.

CALDWELL WEDDING HALL A diamond is a stone that truly states, “I love you” in a deep

way. The stone’s symbol of flawless, everlasting love, as well as the fact that it Is the hardest substance known on earth. Black diamond, commonly known as the “Carbonado”,is the toughest form of natural diamond. Their dense polycrystalline structure makes them more difficult to cut and polish than colorless diamonds.
