Letter from Seller 15 Cypress Point Court, Alamo WHY WE LOVE OUR HOME: When we first bought our home back in the fall of 1998, we were expecting our first son in July 1999. We felt the home and the Round Hill community would be a wonderful place for us to raise our family. After closing we met our neighbors across the street, then another couple around the corner from us (at a Round Hill Property Owners Social), all of whom were expecting children the summer of 1999 as well. It seemed like it was all meant to be, and we have seen all our children grow up together and remain close friends to this date. This is the only home our two boys have ever known, and we are so thankful we made the decision to buy the house and build it into what it is today. It took a lot of vision and hard work to get past the 60’s and 70’s Oleander and Juniper haven it was and create the home and living spaces you see today. We have always loved to entertain, and the community atmosphere of Round Hill and our home were perfect for children’s birthday parties, adult dinner parties, impromptu gatherings with friends and family, and Friday Happy Hours at the fire pit and pool (we get a nice sunset sky coloring as we look to the west from the pool area). We wanted to make sure the home and yard had a strong synergy and flow, so we designed all the French doors from the living and dining spaces as well as the master bedroom, to encourage an inviting relationship between the spaces. We wanted a more open floor plan in the home as well to facilitate the style of living and entertaining we enjoy. Yet it still has a nice warm and inviting feel to the space that makes us or our guests want to linger and converse. Whether entertaining or just relaxing with our boys and playing cornhole or other lawn games, the layout has worked beautifully. As the boys grew and got more involved in sports, the lawn transitioned into a soccer field with goal then eventually into a lacrosse practice field. Then once the boys left for college, it transitioned back to more of the current garden feel it is today. The Round Hill Community area and our home stay warm and sunny longer into the evening due to the fact there are no hills or mountains shading us early in the afternoon/evening. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, yet quite lively with neighbors and neighborhood children walking and riding bikes along the safe streets. The proximity to the country club allowed the boys to walk or ride to swim practices and meets at the club, or for us to ride or walk to the club to meet friends, play tennis, or hang at the pool area on Friday evenings in the summer. The proximity to hiking trails and Mt Diablo has also been a huge bonus, as well as the proximity to the local elementary, middle school and high school. We have loved every minute of being in this home, and it will be very hard for us and our boys to leave it, but truly hope the new homeowner and their family enjoy and cherish it as much as we do and have.
