A Message from Damian Welcome to the second of my Quarterly Reports for the 4655 postcode. I am delighted that the first edition was so well received by everyone! I had loads of feedback and some great suggestions which I will try to incorporate as we move forward with new editions. Since the last report, we have seen Christmas come and go, a new year start and the kids getting ready to go back to school. We have also seen announcements by Stockland as to confirmed tenancies in the new centre when it opens and there are some big names coming which is great. We have heard of two fantastic new restaurants about to open (if you watch My Kitchen Rules and liked Dan and Steph, you should visit Hervey Bay shortly as they are opening a restaurant here), and the new Beach House Hotel is coming along very fast. All exciting news as we position ourselves to become a more vibrant place to live for all age groups. REMEMBER: The idea of this report, is to ensure you have a handle on the market place and have all of the information you may require should you decide to get involved in real estate here in Hervey Bay. This report is for you – so if you have any comment please let me know; if there is information you feel is missing or stuff you love to see I welcome your feedback. Each report will cover residential sales only; this includes houses, land, units and townhouses. You may note that in each suburb there are sales excluded – we are advised by RP Data that these are sales that are classified as not “normal sales’ i.e. to a family member, sales where the prices have yet to be declared by the sales person or ratified by the Department of Natural Mines and Resources.
