Robert Nesta Marley Booker (February 6, 1945 - May 11, 1981), better known as Bob Marley was a Jamaican musician and composer. During his career he was the leader, songwriter and guitarist for the ska, rocksteady and reggae The Wailers (1964-1974) and Bob Marley & The Wailers (1974-1981). Marley remains the most famous and respected performer of reggae music and is credited for helping spread the music of both Jamaica and the Rastafari movement (which was a committed member) to an audience mundial.1 Among his biggest hits are the singles "I Shot the Sheriff", "No Woman, No Cry," "Exodus," "Could You Be Loved", "Stir It Up", "Jamming", "Redemption Song", " One Love "and, together with The Wailers," Three Little Birds "and the posthumous release" Buffalo Soldier.
