Communion Service – Adventists believe in an “open” Communion Service. Whoever has committed their life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord may participate. Parents are asked to help their young children understand this sacred ceremony is not a food snack and that receiving communion is reserved for an age when one can comprehend what the emblems represent. Our Church Manual views readiness associated with baptismal class instruction and commitment.

Following His Example

Pastor Clark invites you to join our midweek service! We’ve just begun a brandnew series entitled “Contagious Adventist” and you’re sure to be blessed by the content, discussion, and prayer time. Wednesday evening 6:30-7:30 pm in the Sanctuary.

C ha t ta n ooga M es s ia h' s M a ns ion — S ept . 2 8 - Oct. 6 Travel back more than 3,000 years into the desert between Egypt and Israel, where two million people banded together to build a tabernacle for their God. Each element in the tabernacle had deep, significant meaning to the Hebrew people and will be explained in the tour. Tours will run daily from1:00pm to 7:00pm with specially arranged group tours starting at 8:30am. The exhibit will be held Sept. 28-Oct. 6 at the Standifer Gap Family Center in Chattanooga, TN. The Messiah's Mansion exhibit consists of five sections lasting about 15 minutes each. For more information, visit messiahsmansionchatt.org or call 423-954-0174 to arrange a group tour.

Ben Carson will be speaking at a Chattanooga Men’s Ministry meeting on October 15, 2013. All are invited, as it is a family-friendly event. Franco Martinez would like to see if a group might not be interested in getting a table together before individual ticket sales begin and the seats are all gone. For more information contact Franco at (706) 280-6119 or browse online at www.mensministry.org/index.php/event-calendar/64-ben-carson.

The concert is the symphony's first of the school year and will take place on October 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists. The concert is a celebration of five great composers who have important anniversaries this year: Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner would be 200, Benjamin Britten and Norman Dello Joio would be 100, and John Corigliano is 75. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 423.236.2880.
