Mrs. Vivian Hazekamp has demonstrated excellence in her teaching and a tender love for her students during the past 10 years at Learning Tree Elementary School. We are sad to see her leave us, but wish her well as she transitions to retirement at the end of this year. To recognize Mrs. Hazekamp’s 29 years of service in Adventist education, with a total of 39 years in teaching, we are planning a brunch in her honor. Each of you is invited to join us on Sunday morning, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. here at Learning Tree School in Dalton, GA. Come prepared to share a favorite memory or words of appreciation. We hope to see many of you there, but if you cannot attend, please send a card or other memory to: Learning Tree School, 300 South Tibbs Road, Dalton, GA 30720. MESSIAH’S MANSION The work God has called His people to do did not end in the first century. True, the gospel circled the known globe, but He has a even grander vision of spreading His glory. The same promises He gave the disciples belong to us if we will only claim them.

Topics will include Natural Remedies Myths, Depression, Chronic Pain, GMO, Nutrition, and much more! Daily there will be a hands-on cooking class. In the afternoons, there will be 12 hours of practical training in Hydrotherapy, Massage, and Food Preservation. There will also be a 3 hour track on Poultices. "They would not be left to fight alone. He assured them that He would be with them; and if they would go forth in faith, they should move under the shield of Omnipotence. He bade them be brave and strong; for One mightier than angels would be in their ranks--the General of the armies of heaven. He made full provision for the prosecution of their work and took upon Himself the responsibility of its success. So long as they obeyed His word, and worked in connection with Him, they COULD NOT FAIL. 'I will be with you always, helping you to perform your duty, guiding, comforting, sanctifying, sustaining you, giving you success in speaking words that shall draw the attention of others to heaven.'" AA page 29 Four weeks remain until Messiah's Mansion will open. If you hear God's call to be involved in this project, please fill out a signup sheet or talk to Chester Clark, Tiffany Britt, or Brent Goodge. If at all possible, please stay by after the service and/or after potluck to learn more about the service opportunities available in this project. Alexander Popov

Alexander Popov was born in the town of Suchumi, in the autonomous province of Abhazia, in the Republic of Georgia, in 1953. His early musical training was at the music school in Suchumi, followed by graduation from a four-year program at the musical conservatory in that same town. He studied for the next five years in the Musical Academy in Chisinau, the capital city of the Republic of Moldova. There he graduated with two degrees and became recognized as an orchestra soloist and professor of violin. Following his graduation he worked for three years as a soloist in the Symphony Orchestra at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet in Chisinau, Moldova. From 1976 to 1992, he was a member of the National Orchestra "Fluerash" under the State Philharmonic. From 1987 until 1992 he was its director and soloist. The orchestra was invited to perform on numerous occasions in Moscow celebrating the special events and the birthdays of the Communist leaders such as L. I. Brezhnev (general secretary of the Communist Party of the USSR) and Shchelokov (minister of the USSR Internal Affairs). The orchestra also performed at the All Congress of the Communist Party of the USSR. "Fluerash" became well known and greatly loved not only in Moldova and the former Soviet Union, but far beyond its borders. In the course of his musical career with "Fluerash" he played in more than 40 countries of the world. When communism came to an end in Russia, he and his family experienced a dramatic conversion by entrusting their lives, not to a system or the applause of dictators, but to the living God. Two years after his conversion, to the amazement of the Moldovan public, he organized a Christian instrumental ensemble in 1992. The mission of the ensemble is to take the Good News of the Gospel to the world (Matthew 28:18-20), as well as to glorify the Lord with the talent He has given them (Psalm 150). At the present Patmos participates in large Evangelistic Crusades sponsored by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Patmos serves one week of every month with Moldovan evangelist Victor Gamm in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and participates in numerous services each month in the towns and villages of Moldova. On a number of occasions Patmos has been invited to participate in the annual Feast of the Tabernacles in Jerusalem. Mr. Popov also ministers as a solo Concert Artist in Scotland, Germany, and the United States, and formally Soviet Union. His concerts include a program of classical, traditional Moldovan, and Christian music, and Jewish music.
