What’s On Civil War Encampment Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July | 10.30am – 5pm | Free March back in time to 1643, as the English Civil War breaks out. Explore the military encampment, watch displays by Musketeers and Pikemen, try on armour and handle weapons. Immerse yourself in living history. Find out about life and death in the C17th, meet and talk to the soldiers. We care a great deal about the park and our neighbours, therefore there will be no firing in the public parkland. Delivered in partnership with Enfield’s Sir Marmaduke Rawdon’s Regiment of Foote. Volunteers would be able to help cultivate fruit trees and plant vegetables in the raised beds on the site of the old children’s playground. No experience necessary. We have the tools we just need more volunteers. A chance to meet new friends and enjoy the fresh air in our lovely park.
