PROFILE Daisha Shaun Hunter, native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, educated at Temple University in Philadelphia and Temple University Japan, has always loved radio and television production. Her days as a freelance writer for local artists in Harrisburg, and video talent and producer for her high school’s station proved to lay the foundation for future studies in broadcast and mass media. She built her interviewing and production skills as an intern at Philadelphia’s WRTI jazz and classical station. At Temple University Japan, Hunter was a producer of the first Wakai Hunter worked as a part-time radio promotional assistant at Cumulus Media Harrisburg and participated as a visual director during services in her church’s Media Ministry, upon graduation from Temple University. She yearned to return to Japan and was accepted as an English teacher in Tochigi Prefecture in 2006. With frequent visits to Tokyo and continuous networking, Hunter was able to work on various productions including: interviewing guests on pilot series “Art in Hidden Places”, red carpet and backstage interviews for FOX “Backstage Pass”, and freelance writing and video blogging contributions in the USA and Japan. Living in Tokyo since 2008, Hunter started deejaying, completed a Master’s degree through Full Sail University’s online program while continuing to work hands-on in Tokyo, and started producing events with international artists and producers for ENTokyo LLC. Daisha Hunter continues her career based in Japan as a consultant in corporate global communications, brand development, and entertainment coordination. www.DaishaHunter.com www.ENT-Tokyo.com
ENTer ENTertainment Tokyo
ENTokyo LLC is the organization created by Daisha Hunter from the business plan formulated during her capstone project for the Master of Science in Entertainment Business program through Full Sail University. She wanted to utilize her Tokyo networks to further build and bridge emerging brands of fashion, art, and music. Language and culture are the largest barriers to creators inside and outside of Japan, but with Daisha Hunter as an anchor in multiple entertainment fields, ENTokyo became her platform to start connecting resources. As a mentor and active contributor to the Tokyo entertainment industry, Daisha Hunter plans to take ENTokyo international through collaborations with various independent artists, businesses, sponsors, and producers.

Daisha Hunter delivers the scoop on the best snacks, foods, and treats of Japan in her weekly “Fatness First” reports on Dent Radio.
Loving Japanese Food (excerpt from CNNGo Asia) There is also a snack blog for those interested in an alternative look at Japanese foods, named #fatnessfirst, and curated by Daisha Hunter. “Well, #fatnessfirst is something that started when I was growing up. I was a picky child with food but I loved snacks,” according to Hunter. “From high school and through college, me and my friends just loved food. Even if we were eating a meal, we would be thinking about what we were going to eat next. And pretty much anytime I talk about food, or anyone around me does, it ends up that I say ‘fatness first,’” she says.
Out on the Streets ”DENT Radio offers a place for people to say what they have done here, what they saw and who they are as artists,” Hunter adds. “The problem is really here on the Japanese side: you are either signed to a label or you aren’t. But we are here, and we are out on the streets and we’ll come and meet you whether you are a big celebrity or not,” she explains.
