Booth spaces are 10' wide x 10' deep and we will not guarantee your specific placement. There are limited electrical outlets available and spaces are limited. Each vendor is responsible for the set-up, take down, security and clean-up of their own space. Vendors can be set-up and ready to conduct business during the following event schedule: Saturday, July 4th, between 1:00PM – 4:00pm, gates open at 5:00pm. Labor & Industries laws apply to all vendors. No security will be provided. Each vendor shall provide security, a trash can and liners and shall maintain a clean space throughout the entire event. Please have booths removed and vendor booth space cleaned no later than 11:30pm on the night of the event. Vendors will not be able to bring their automobiles onto the field location from 2:45pm until after the fireworks. HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE:

I/We hereby, for self, child, heirs, executor, and administrators do hereby, expressed and forever, waive and release any and all claims against and agree to hold harmless the Sunnyside Lions, the City of Sunnyside, the Sunnyside School District, the events Director or representative(s), successors, or assigns of any kind from any and all claims which may be made for any cause whatsoever, including product claims arising out of the operation of our vending booth and product sales during the event, arising as a result of or in connection with the participation of vendor in the herein mentioned event. It is understood and agreed that the Sunnyside Lions WILL NOT assume any liabilities for vendors’ operation and insurance protection for said vendor. The Sunnyside Lions reserves the right to reject any application for any reason it deems necessary.

SUNNYSIDE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION ANNUAL WATERMELON EATING CONTEST

Saturday, JULY 4, 2015 5:00 PM CONTEST RULES 1. The Contest will have 2 categories, Youth, 7-13 years and Adult 14 years & up. 2. There will be a $2.00 entry fee to compete. 3. Entries will be limited to the first 15 contestants in each category. 4. All contestants must be registered and checked in at the Information Booth by 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th. 5. The object is to eat as much Watermelon as possible without using your hands. 6. Each contestant will be given half a Watermelon. 8. Contestants will wait for the signal to start and a stopwatch will be used. 9. The allotted time is five (5) minutes. 10. Any food in the competitor’s mouth at the whistle, counts toward the final tally. 11. Throwing up during the competition disqualifies and ends competition for the applicant. 12. Contestants must not touch any of the Watermelon until the starting signal. 13. Winner will be determined by whoever finishes within the best tine OR whoever has eaten the most Watermelon within the allotted time. 14. The judges will determine the winner of the contest not the participants & the judges’ decision will be final. 15. Any contestant caught breaking any of the above rules will be disqualified.

Condiments such as mustard and ketchup will be provided if desired. 8. Contestants will wait for the signal to start and a stopwatch will be used. 9. The allotted time is five (5) minutes. 10. Any complete hot dog and bun in the competitor’s mouth at the whistle, counts toward the final tally. 11. Dunking and crunching the hot dog and bun is allowed. 12. Separating the hot dog and bun to eat them individually is allowed, however to count toward finality, both have to be consumed or in competitors mouth at whistle. 13.
