DESIGN DEVELOPMENT With the design pretty well figured out, we start cleaning it up for construction. We correct any outstanding issues and do a thorough sweep of the model to clean up any irregularities. Consultants are brought in to begin designing some of the specialty systems like lighting and AV. More models are exchanged so you can see the changes and additions as the design evolves to have more detail. This is also a time when we can start to get preliminary pricing from our contractor if one has been chosen. The feedback we get from the Contractor is valuable as they know how things get built and what they cost so getting one on board early is really helpful. When we’re finalized, we send it off the Engineers and begin adding the notes and drawing we need for permit and construction.
