NOTE FROM THE

EDITOR

Happy Holidays Red Devils

I can't believe we're finally at the end of our childhood decade. I hope you all had a wonderful year and made so many memories coming back or being new in key club this term! We only have a few months left till the end of this spicy term, so I advise you all to do more for this club and participate in as many events as possible! If you're a member who occassionally comes to events, try to attend more service events & DCM's. If you're an officer, make sure you complete all of your duties. I'd like to thank all of you for making this one my favorite term's in key club and DEFINITELY one to remember so far <33Â

Q&A with Isaiah Sandoval He’s an up and coming Key Club member who’s quickly proven his dedication and love for the organization. Always enthusiastic with a smile on his face, Isaiah tells us a little about himself and his views on Key Club.

What has surprised you most about the organization?

The thing that supposed was that it is run by mostly teenagers and it makes it easy to communicate to people my age.

My favorite event so far has been the Mountain View kitchen and the AHA! Gala I would like to do a soup kitchen closer to our location.

What’s been your favorite service project so far/ what are you looking most forward to serve in the near future? I would say at first it’s really scary but once you meet people in it you find it a release and a way to get away from the world why doing good things.

What would you say to someone if you wanted them to join Key Club?

Trick-or-Treat for Unicef

Victor Nguyen

Deer Valley Key Club had their very own Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF event in Antioch. They split up into small groups, increasing the efficiency of the event. From there, all until the end of the event, a considerable amount of houses were generous enough to make a donation to them; whether it was big or small, they were able to fill up a good number of boxes, allowing them to play a big role in ending MNTZ. Not only was this a chance for them as a club to raise money towards an amazing cause, but it was also an opportunity for them to bond and grow as individuals. The event was also a great learning experience, as it further exposed them to talking to strangers and asking for donations.

Car Parade

PITTSBURG Pittsburg started the new month by participating in the town's car parade. They decorated it to the theme of Jack and Jill. Though their car wasn’t the biggest or fanciest, it was the one made with most love! They followed the rest of the floats down from Pittsburg Marina all the way back up to Pittsburg High. They threw candy into the crowd which made everyone excited and they started cheering for them. They even made sure to include a "join key club" sign to hopefully attract new members!

Night National Run Sergio Gonzales

In the distance, electric pop music plays in an open area as runners and volunteers walk up a steep hill towards the first bay area music run called Night National Run. The event took place at the Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley and it was a night of service where busy key clubbers hurriedly packaged and distributed light stick necessities plus t-shirts into drawstring bags to runners based on their purchase – ranging from standard to VIP. As the lines progressively slows down, key clubbers

from both divisions, D2S & N with D26N, packed up their assigned tents and barricaded it to make registration into one. Additionally, key clubbers pass out the remaining drawstring bags to late incoming runners while the others helped break down cardboard boxes and carry water as well as energy drinks to a designated spot. After the heavy lifting and handling, tired key clubbers energize themselves to a rave party for all their hard work.
