One of the best ways to establish and build your brand in todayâ€™s world is by Internet Marketing or Online Marketing. So what is Online Marketing? It is how you use the Internet to advertise and drive sales and/or traffic to your website. Many of you will think that this is an easy task, however it will be the most challenging part of building your online presence. And if you are sitting there thinking thats why I have a website then you are already setting yourself up for failure. There are many websites out there that provide the same services as you, so how can you get noticed. How can you utilize and link all your social media platforms to increase your web visitors, email sign-ups, likes, and followers? Of course you well need a website. However, you want one that makes sense and is easy to navigate. You will want to build a Web site map. A Web site map will ensure that you have all the web pages listed, and it will insure that you do not forget anything that you might find important. In addition, a site map will also help with organization, and save a lot of time in the pre-planning stages. You can accomplish this by either using

Before you even start your design layout, it is good practice to create a Wireframe. The Wireframe is done in black and white in order to keep the focus on how the page is going to be mapped out, and where text and pictures are going to be placed. You can use graphic tools to complete your Wireframes or you can just sketch it out. Either way this will save a lot of time in the design process, and help you and your client stay on the same page. Remember to always do your Wireframe in black in white, because you will add your backgrounds, textures, and images to your layout later. In addition, you want to remember that your Wireframe is just a layout of where you want to place things on each page. You will need to complete a Wireframe for each page, because the layout may change for each web page.

It takes a lot of time to build and manage a website, especially if you do not have any experience building one. In addition, you will also have to manage your website which includes writing, reviewing revisions, updating photos and/or videos. The second thing to considered is you budget. There are many resources that you can use on the web that will assist you in creating a Wireframe for your website. They can be very confusing, especially if you do not know how to create and use one. You can find a lot of programs that will help you create one. After you have build you wonderful website, you will need to be able to market your presence on the wide world web. This is where the power of Online Marketing comes in. One of the best ways to increase your search engine results is by using the power of the Blog. Having a blog on your web site will allow your users to share your blog via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. Your blog should have articles or posts that are engaging to your target audience. I often share tutorials and free templates on my blog, which have increased my Facebook Page likes. Let’s face it you may have a lot of Facebook friends, but in reality a lot of them are not going to even visit like your page. Facebook has many great apps that you can take advantage of, and can require visitors to like your page before the view it. I use the free downloads app, because I offer free
templates to my followers from other social media sites. Then again you want to remember that a lot of your friends might not be in a part of your target audience. Another great tool that people don’t utilize enough is Wiki, which is free. You can add your business to Wikipedia for free, and this will increase you search engine results as well. Remember when I mentioned about collecting users emails. Well, this comes in handy when you are marketing. You can give visitors to your website the option to sign up for newsletters, which gives you a list of emails. Which brings us to email marketing. This is a great way to reach a lot of people who are interested in what you have to offer. Email marketing allows you to send out marketing materials based on your users interests. In addition, you can purchase list of email addresses from third-party companies. Another feature is what Google has to offer, and a lot of people do not take advantage of this. A Google profile can take you a long way, because Google+ profiles are linked to a lot of cool things. On being your YouTube channel, and in my case I like to share tutorials for designers. Just like mapping your website is important, mapping out your social media sharing is also important. A lot of social media sites allow you to share information from one site to another. For example, when I post a new Tweet, my Facebook page is automatically updated with the new information. As I mentioned before always take advantage of the extras each site has to offer. There is so much information when it comes to Google, that I will address this topic in an article all by itself. However, for now I would highly suggest that you sign up for an email account through Google’s Gmail. There are many ways to grow your online presence and get your brand out there to more people. However, you will need to know how to market your business online in order to be successful. While this may be a breeze to some, but to most it is a nightmare. I have found that a lot of people have great ideal of what they want, but don’t understand the process to get there.
