West Coast student set for Miss Teen finals

eenage beauty Abulele Mhlungulwana will be representing the Western Cape in the Miss Teenager SA beauty pageant taking place at the Johannesburg City Hall on 1 June 2019.
A
resident of Ashton, 19-year-old Mhlungulwana is studying for her national certificate (vocational) in office administration at West Coast College’s Malmesbury campus, and runs a modeling, dance, and visual arts project in Khayelitsha. The college’s Ivan Swart said Mhlungulwana had started various community projects during the build-up to the pageant and will
continue with these projects after the event. “I would like to use this platform to inspire and empower young women. I want them to be confident and to find themselves,” says Mhlungulwana. The college’s deputy principal Rhazia Hamza said Mhlungulwana is a true West Coast College ambassador, and she knows she will not only do well in the competition but will go on
to touch many lives in Malmesbury and other areas of the province. “We therefore would like to call on any support from the public to help her achieve her dream to participate in this national pageant,” said Hamza. Swart said members of the public can support Mhlugulwana by using their cellphones to vote for her by SMSing ‘MTSA ABULELE’

People are also invited to support her travel costs from Cape Town to Joburg or assist with funding her accommodation in Joburg during the competition.
