Primary emphasis is to prepare the student for occupational competency in aerobic exercise instruction for corporate fitness or health clubs. All students must complete 18 units. Course work in PE 235 C may be waived with current Red Cross cards in First Aid and CPR at the discretion of the division. To earn a certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of “C.” At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. Primary emphasis is to prepare the student for occupational competency in swimming instruction as recommended by the state of California and the American Red Cross. All students must complete 18 units. Course work in PE 235 C, PE 237 C, and PE 238 C may be waived with current Red Cross cards in First Aid and CPR, Life Saving and Water Safety Instruction at the discretion of the division. To earn a certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of “C.” At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College.
