The Columbus Young Professionals Club (CYP CLUB) is a “for-impact” membership organization made up of more than 12,000 young professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, creative thinkers, and social people who live & work in the greater Columbus, OH area – making it the THIRD LARGEST organization for young professionals in the entire United States. Founded in July of 2005, the CYP CLUB offers events, athletics, and volunteer activities on a weekly basis for a growing membership of local YPs (ages 21-45). Basic membership is FREE, and Premium Membership is just $50/year. The CYP CLUB hosted the first ‘A Date 2 Remember’ event in January 2007 as a way to offer a unique philanthropic activity to benefit TWO local nonprofit organizations and engage our members in a large-scale charity event. We took a year off in 2008, and in 2009 were voted 2nd best charity event by Columbus CEO Magazine. In 2010, ‘D2R’ smashed all previous records, welcoming more than 700 attendees and raising more than $30,000 for charity. In the November 2010 issue of Columbus CEO Magazine we were again recognized, this time as the BEST CHARITY EVENT in Central Ohio. Now in our fourth year, this event has raised almost $100,000 for local charity! Our success and growth could not be accomplished without the dedication of the CYP CLUB Leadership Team, who all help to offer EVENTS, ATHLETICS, and IMPACT for the benefit of our members and the community at large: Derek Grosso President/CEO & Founder

Tonight’s Event will Benefit Helping children feel like ‘A Kid Again’

A Kid Again is a non-profit that strives to enrich the lives of children with life threatening illnesses and their families by providing healing times of respite through fun-filled group activities and destination events, which are called adventures. These year round adventures foster laughter, joy, normalcy and supportive networking opportunities. A Kid Again strives to offer their children, siblings and parents a cost free occasion to enjoy quality time together and to create lasting memories. This mission is accomplished through the dedication of their volunteer network and the generosity of donors, providing them the opportunity to enrich their own lives as they ease the lives of the A Kid Again Families. The Adventures A Kid Again takes the children and their immediate families to exciting destinations and events such as Kings Island, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, a Mother/Daughter Pampering at Charles Penzone Grand Salon, a Father/Son Basketball Clinic with the Ohio State Men’s Basketball team and many more. Even when the children are sick and in the hospital, they can always look forward to the next great adventure! More Information To find out how you can help volunteer at an adventure for the children, assist at the next fundraiser, enroll a child or support A Kid Again programs, visit their website at www.akidagain.org. For additional questions, A Kid Again can also be reached at 614-797-9500 or via email mzink@akidagain.org.

Tonight’s Event will Benefit Providing the camp experience for all children

Flying Horse Farms is a not-for-profit camp for children with serious illnesses. They provide magical, transforming and fun camp experiences and serve many disease groups. When kids come to Flying Horse Farms, they are no longer a kid with cancer. They are not constrained by their asthma or sickle cell disease. The toll on the body from heart disease, arthritis or hemophilia is forgotten. When kids are there, they’re different. They aren’t patients. They are kids. The History In 2007, camp founders Jenni and David Belford, through their own experiences with Adventures for Wish Kids (now A Kid Again), were moved to build a permanent, year-round camp for children with serious illnesses. After a considerable amount of research to assess the need and other factors, the Belfords made the decision to join the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps. As the world’s largest family of camps for children with serious medical conditions, the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps offers campers the chance to restore hope and recapture their childhood through therapeutic recreation, intentional programming and year-round support to provide encouragement, motivation and confidence. Paul Newman began the first Hole in the Wall Camp in 1988, in Ashford, Connecticut. Twenty years later, that single camp has grown into a network of camps across the globe. Each camp is a place where children with serious illnesses can “kick back, relax, raise a little hell and just be kids.” More Information Flying Horse Farms will carry on Newman’s mission by serving children throughout the Midwest. To learn more, visit their website at www.flyinghorsefarms.org.
