Cynthia Van Buren: Helping the Homeless Cynthia Van Buren is an attorney who has practiced law for more than two decades. She is related to former US president Martin Van Buren, and also the General Counsel to the Van Buren Family Foundation. Additionally, Ms. Van Buren sat on the Board of Directors of The Lord's Place (2000-2005), a charitable organization that assists the homeless population.
