“I have been a skilling leader for two years. I think the program is good, for younger people to come through. It has given me confidence to do things I want to do. It made me confident to go out there and achieve my goals. During the Cape York Agenda meeting, I spoke confidently in front of my community. The main thing is confidence. My Elders have been doing this for years, now I am allowed to attend the meetings and my opinion is acknowledged and they say I have good ideas and give me respect. We have powerful Elders and leaders in my community and in Cape York. I am excited for this week’s course and what I will be learning to take back to my community.”
