Under the direction of former Houston Astros All-Star pitcher and manager, Larry Dierker, Dierker’s Champs has a mission to transform kids' lives by providing the best baseball instruction possible in a positive and encouraging environment. The teams create a fun environment for kids to grow in character, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Before the 2023 season, Dierker's Champs played games on Cy-Fair ISD fields. Cy-Fair ISD had to demolish these fields to support additional district buildings and drainage improvements. Cy-Hope purchased land to house a baseball complex due to the field loss and to increase program participation.

Dierker's Champs serves only 18% of Cy-Fair ISD elementary and 44% of middle schools; the program has tremendous growth potential for increasing access for underserved students to after-school sports. Building fields will enable Cy-Hope to add more schools and teams, a fall baseball program, increase flexibility in scheduling for teams, and a community park in a low-income neighborhood struggling with decline.
