Welcome As we begin a new year, I am delighted to share with you another dynamic list of training opportunities and events happening over the coming months.

At CWR, we are eager to see people encounter God and develop their relationship with Him – so whatever your background or level of Christian experience, I hope that you will find something in this brochure that will equip you in your walk of faith.

Understanding who we are in God transforms how we live out the rest of our lives, and getting into His Word is a great place to start.

In May, Philip Greenslade will be starting a seven-day course called Living Out of God’s Story (page 6), helping us to understand the narrative that weaves through the Bible, and how we can play our part in the story still unfolding. Bible Discovery Our Bible Discovery courses are an invaluable opportunity to dig deeper into the Bible and grasp more of the wonder of God’s story. Each course offers in-depth teaching, worship, fellowship and time for personal reflection in peaceful surroundings.

Bible Discovery Course Leaders Philip Greenslade has worked with CWR since 1991 in the areas of biblical studies, pastoral care and leadership. With his passion for teaching God’s Word, he offers a refreshing and challenging perspective for all those who attend his courses.

Andy Peck is a writer and Bible teacher who has served as a course leader with CWR since 2006. He brings a great depth of knowledge to his courses in a brilliantly accessible way.

Bible Discovery Weekend: Behold the Man

Life and Discipleship Course Leaders Andy Peck is a writer and Bible teacher who has served as a course leader with CWR since 2006. He brings a great depth of knowledge to his courses in a brilliantly accessible way.

Mick Brooks is CWR’s Chief Executive. With a background in both general and mental health nursing, he has experience in many areas of interpersonal skills and relationships.

Lynette Brooks is the Director of Publishing and Ministry at CWR, and is also a member of the senior leadership team. She leads the Inspiring Women team and teaches on various CWR courses.

Inspiring Women Course Leaders Lynette Brooks is the Director of Publishing and Ministry at CWR, and is also a member of the senior leadership team. She leads the Inspiring Women team and teaches on various CWR courses.

Paula Buchel has been involved with Inspiring Women for some years, and is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A bright welcome awaits as spring brings new life with nature at its best. Be brave and take a dip in our heated swimming pool that opens this month for the summer season. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions Payment Arrangements

Accommodation

For day, evening and weekend events the full fee is payable on booking.

WAVERLEY ABBEY HOUSE has bedrooms that are shared and are en-suite.

For courses longer than one weekend, a £100 deposit or the full fee is payable on application.

The deposit amount is non-refundable once CWR has confirmed your booking in writing. The balance of the fee must be paid at least six weeks prior to the event or in full on application if you are applying later than this. Please note there is a 3% surcharge on payments by credit card.

PILGRIM HALL offers both shared, en-suite bedrooms and single bedrooms with separate bathrooms.

Cancellations Day/evening events are non-refundable.

For courses one weekend and longer, should you cancel your booking, we offer the following refunds on the balance (deposit non-refundable): • ten weeks or more prior to event = 60% • six weeks or more prior to event = 40% • two to five weeks or more prior to event = 20% • less than two weeks prior to event = nil.

We strongly recommend that you consider taking out insurance to cover the possibility of such a cancellation.

CWR’s Terms and Conditions CWR reserves the right to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances or low numbers, in which case fees are fully refundable. However, CWR is not liable for other expenses, eg travel costs that the applicant may have incurred. CWR also reserves the right to refuse registration to anyone it considers unsuitable for a course.

Details of local Bed and Breakfast accommodation are available on request, if you prefer.

Mobility WAVERLEY ABBEY HOUSE is a Grade II* listed property. The first floor (where courses are held) and the second and third floors (where bedrooms are located) are reached by stairs. In the event of a fire, you need to be able to walk downstairs at an average walking pace, without assistance.

PILGRIM HALL: Please let us know if you have any mobility difficulties. If you are staying overnight, in the event of a fire you would need to be able walk downstairs at an average walking pace, without assistance (the lift cannot be used in a fire). If not, then we will arrange a ground floor bedroom for you.

It is situated just two miles from the town Farnham, Surrey – less than an hour’s train journey from London Waterloo (to Farnham) and within easy reach of the M25 and M3.
