he inaugural Suncoast International Dragon Boat Festival will take place at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, March 19, 2016. This exciting and interactive community event promotes the new paddling/rowing venue at Nathan Benderson Park, while celebrating a healthy lifestyle and team spirit. Organized by SANCA, In the Pink, and Pan Am Dragon Boat Association, the festival will host 50 teams with more than a thousand athletes. Proceeds from the event benefit In the Pink, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping men, women and children heal, cope and survive the effects of cancer, both physically and emotionally.
