BRIEF TWO DROP ONE PRODUCT
CHANTELLE DE LA REY s2 764 077
Brief The focus of this assignment is the combining of print-based advertising and digital channels. We will examine the role of creativity in advertising, production processes of print-based advertising, and social media, the purposes of advertising and the influence of advertising in society. I have chosen “Plastic Bottles as I personally think they should be droped from our erveyday uses as they are killing our ocean. I am targeting people who know the ocean well, the surfing community mainly 19-24 year olds, by informing and educating them on what plastic bottles are really doing to our beloved ocean and sea animals. I have gathered my research from serval websites either for or against the idea of dropping plastic water bottles. I interveiwed a few people on the matter and got their input, it was evident everyone seemed to like the idea of taking it back to the olden
days. The soloution would be to take back old school ways, when everyone had there own water bottle and carried it around or just kept their bottles in the car, aluminium bottles or go into your local cafes and sit down with a few mates and be offered free water in a glass.
Our Story Bottle it
We live on Planet Ocean. Water covers three-quarters of the globe and a staggering 80% of all life on Earth is found hidden beneath its waves. As the sea rolls across the planet it provides over half the oxygen we breathe, sustains billions of people with its resources and drives weather systems and natural flows of energy, which maintain life on Earth. It is also home to over 230,000 species. We need a healthy global ocean to survive. Yet our oceans are in crisis. BOTTLE IT began because of this crisis that seems to be occurring over and over again, we want to engage and educate people on what is really happening to our ocean, which we all love so much. Plastic seems to be the major issue as it comes in so many different forms for example bags, bottles, toys etc.. Here at BOTTLE
IT we are targeting what we think is the most deadliest form of plastic that has been brought into this world the “Plastic Bottle the plastic bottle doesnt just linger in the ocean going about its day. Studies show two thirds of fish are consuming the small amounts of plastic that break off these deadly criters, in turn if you eat fish these fragments of plastic are past into your digestive system. The soloution would be to take back old school ways, when everyone had there own water bottle and carried it around or just kept their bottles in the car, aluminium bottles or go into your local cafes and sit down with a few mates and be offered free water in a glass.
