RESTORING THE QUALITY OF LIFE
WHAT WE DO A REAL ALTERNATIVE IN CARE
Loss of independence can be the result of many things: loneliness, frailty, ill-health, disability, convalescing or after an operation. There are times in all our lives when we have to rely on others for help, particularly as we grow old. For many elderly people, a nursing or residential home may seem to be the only option. Now there is a real alternative. Cura Domi provides the option to stay in your home and retain your independence. We are a specialist organisation providing care and support seven days a week, fifty-two weeks a year, as much or as little as you require. THE CARERS
Choosing the right people to become Cura Domi carers is the result of a stringent selection process. Candidates must first provide impeccable references. They then face interviews with our qualified team of Care consultants followed by a second day of Moving and Handling training and a third day client assessment. In addition, we provide ongoing training for our carers for the entire time they remain with us. The quality of our carers determines the quality of our service. We never compromise. TAKING TIME TO CARE
When you first contact us, your call will be treated in complete confidence by one of our Care consultants who will spend time building up a profile of you and your family. This will enable us to prepare a care plan to suit your particular needs. By listening, planning and selecting the right carers we will ensure that the care you receive is second to none. CARING IN AN EMERGENCY
Where immediate and urgent attention is needed, we will react immediately. When you have to make a decision in a time of crisis, you can depend on the calm professionalism of our management team to help you through it.
RESTORING THE QUALITY OF LIFE LIVE IN CARE WHAT IS LIVE-IN CARE? Families who entrust their loved ones to Live-in Care from Cura Domi rest easy with the peace of mind that someone is always on hand; that someone is providing care, companionship and taking care of the household chores. A Live-in Carer offers personal care assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They sleep in their own room at the house and follow a bespoke care plan created specifically for their client. They are on hand to help with personal care such as toileting, bathing or overseeing mobility, hoisting (if applicable) or medication; they keep up with the housekeeping chores such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping. Also and of greatest importance, they spend quality time with their client, chatting and keeping them company. When you put all this together it means that when the family comes to visit, they don’t have to worry about going to the shops, cleaning the house or making sure that medication has been taken. The family can visit or call whenever they want and spend quality time with each other, enjoying one another’s company knowing that their loved one is in the best possible place and in the best possible hands. LIVE-IN CARE OFFERS PEACE OF MIND By agreement with the client, we ask that our care workers have an eight hour night’s sleep and, to work effectively, they should be allowed a two hour break during the day.
