DEADLINES

All advertisers receiving contract rates must have a signed contract on file with The Sentinel. Rates can be changed with 30 days written notice. The Sentinel reserves the right to censor, reject or cancel advertisements in whole or in part. The advertiser and agency agree to protect, indemnify and hold harmless The Sentinel against any and all liability, loss and expense (including counsel fees) arising out of publication of the advertiser’s advertisements.

SUNDAY

When proofs are provided to advertisers, The Sentinel is not responsible for errors. As part of your Sentinel advertising investment, e-tearsheets are a free fulfillment service. To sign up visit: http://ai.presteligence.com/ai4/signup. You will receive an email from notifications@presteligence.com that confirms your registration. Adjustments for errors caused by The Sentinel are based upon the number of inches occupied by the error. On successive run advertisements, adjustments will be limited to first day of insertion. No further adjustment will be made on subsequent insertions. The Sentinel cannot accept any financial responsibility for the omission of advertising. Advertisements mentioning another party without their knowledge and authorization may be rejected. Special positions are not guaranteed. No refunds will be made because of the position in which an advertisement appears. If an advertiser fails to meet the requirements of a contract, the contract is automatically cancelled and the advertiser will be charged their earned rate for all lineage placed under the contract. Claims for errors must be made within 30 days of publication. The Sentinel will not be responsible for errors appearing in advertisements which are placed past deadline. Cancellations, changes of insertion and/or sizes must conform to published deadlines. In the event of a cancellation, change of insertion date and/or size change past deadline, the advertiser is responsible for the total space ordered at deadline. Terms of Payment Advertising charges are due prior to publication until the advertiser has established credit and has opened an account with the newspaper.

All advertising is due and payable upon receipt of billing. Advertising is considered past due after 15 days from the billing date, and a 1.5% interest charge (18% per annum) is added to balance 30 days past due.

There is a digital advertising conversion fee of $4 for ads up to 11 total inches, $6 for ads 12-23 total inches, and $8 for ads 24 total inches or greater. These ads are available online at www.cumberlink.com.

The Sentinel Alive

A payment of an account is not dependent upon receipt of tearsheets (see e-tearsheets above). The Sentinel can refuse to publish advertising from any account with an outstanding balance more than 60 days.

FRIDAY

Shipping and Receiving Pre-prints are due in-house 10 days prior to insertion. Pre-prints must be shipped pre-paid, bundled or boxed and delivered on skids in good condition. Delivery is accepted daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pre-prints delivered to our dock in poor condition will not be inserted. Customers will be notified if pre-prints are damaged or in poor condition.

Advertisements Political advertisements must be submitted for The Sentinel’s review prior to publication. Claims and statements of fact should be accompanied by substantiation. New campaign issues will not be published after the Friday preceding a Tuesday election. Ads must be labeled “Paid Political Advertisement” as prescribed by law and must include the name of responsible party paying for the ad. Advance payment by cash, certified check or credit card prior to publication is required.
