Our Mission The State Fair of Texas® celebrates all things Texan by promoting agriculture, education, and community involvement through quality entertainment in a family-friendly environment. The State Fair of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the Fair’s development initiatives go to support youth in the Fair Park community and across the state. More Money for More Kids!

Continuing on more than 135 years of providing support in these areas, we are committed now more than ever to cultivating and developing future leaders through the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Program. Your investment and participation in State Fair of Texas fundraising initiatives build upon a more than century-old legacy of giving back to hardworking, goal-oriented youth in our great state.

A LASTING LEGACY OF IMPACT. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of your generous gift to State Fair of Texas fundraising initiatives supports exceptional students from the Fair Park community and throughout Texas. All expenses associated with facilitating and operating these initiatives are underwritten by the State Fair of Texas. Alongside contributions made to the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Program by the State Fair of Texas, together we greatly impact the lives of hundreds of deserving students. In 2021 alone, we were able to award more than $2.3 million in new Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction awards and Big Tex Scholarships to future leaders across the Lone Star State.

13TH ANNUAL BIG TEX CLAY SHOOT CLASSIC FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2022 DALLAS GUN CLUB

Grab a team and join us in the great outdoors. Now in its 13th year, the Big Tex Clay Shoot Classic provides a unique opportunity to enjoy a fun and relaxing day of shooting while investing in hardworking Texas youth. In addition to eight rounds of shooting, the Classic features lunch, a silent and live auction, other shooting opportunities, and an awards reception.

12TH ANNUAL BIG TEX GOLF CLASSIC FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 2022 TENISON PARK GOLF COURSE

Located at Fair Park-adjacent Tenison Park Golf Course, the 12th Annual Big Tex Golf Classic is a scramble style tournament for golfers of all ages and skill sets. Participants in the Big Tex Golf Classic will enjoy breakfast, 18 holes on one of Dallas’ most historic courses, a lunch reception, and player gifts.

An exclusive dining opportunity awaits you at the Ninth Annual Big Tex Champion Club Dinner. Enjoy an evening of hors d’oeuvres, curated dinner, live auction, and a wine pull – all in support of Texas youth. Members also enjoy special events year-round. 74TH ANNUAL BIG TEX YOUTH LIVESTOCK AUCTION FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2022 BRISCOE CARPENTER LIVESTOCK CENTER

Sold! A time-honored tradition at the State Fair of Texas, the 74th Annual Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction showcases agriculture-focused Texas youth and their project animals in a unique fundraising experience for all in attendance. In 2021, the Auction raised more than $1.6 million for students, with a grand champion steer collecting $126,000. Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction donors enjoy a variety of Auction day activities, as well as year-round benefits.
