CFN History Two and a half years ago, Atlanta introduced a very interesting event to its local culinary culture. This very unique opportunity, intended to highlight local chefs and their culinary skills as well as bring awareness to various local foundations and charities, has become a huge success. Help me welcome Culinary Fight Night®; (CFN®) “Where Cooking and Competition Collide!” to the culinary scene! Culinary Fight Night® is an interactive cooking competition that pairs local chefs, head to head, in a Vegas style boxing ring setting where they will compete for an array of prizes. Via www.culinaryfightnight.com, guests are asked to RSVP, and then vote for a secret ingredient. Our two teams of chefs will take the 3 ingredients with the most votes to the full scale boxing ring to fight it out! The chefs will be required to prepare a 3 course meal for all guests as well as a 6 man celebrity judging panel using these ingredients. Each course will be scored in three categories; Taste, Creativity, and Presentation. In the end, the team leader with the most points will win a customized CFN® Championship Belt and the title of Culinary Fight Night® Champion, a cash prize and a donation for their charity of choice. Culinary Fight Night® has had the pleasure of being endorsed by Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed and past judges have included our resident judge, personal chef and author; Ginny McCormack, Top Chef Season 6 contestant; Hector Santiago, President of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts (Atlanta); Glenn Mack, Miss Georgia 2009; Emily Cook and Georgia's Speaker of the House of Representatives; David Ralston. Our live audiences have had the pleasure of assisting such charities as The Children’s Place based in Chicago, the Do the 2 Walk for Breast Cancer, the Make a Wish Foundation, Genesis Family Shelter of Atlanta, the Sickle Cell Foundation of Ga., The Ludacris Foundation and the Alzheimer Association, just to name a few.
