West Bank society is conservative, and it was frowned upon that women played football, by both Christian and Muslim families. But this barrier is not an obstacle for women that want to practice their passion. And so it happened, that in 2003, Samar Mousa and her star striker and captain, Honey Thaljieh in Bethlehem, founded the Palestinian Women’s football team.
