The design for this house starts with the idea of brut rocks thrown randomly on the terrain. Each block contains a specific program and activity. These volcanic rocks, that are typical of the area of Tepoztlan, were intervened in a geometrical manner and the inner space was carved as a sculptor gives shape to a brute quarry stone. The carvings were intentionally made to resemble the language used in the sculptures of a famous Mexican artist. The space is controlled by courtyards and perforations that appear in the different volumes of the house.
