They have received extensive training to assist shipowners in safeguarding continuous operation, reliability, and MARPOL compliance of their scrubber systems. This entails expert support on-site as well as online support and guidance for all Scrubber Systems. PureteQ offers a fair-priced Service Agreement designed to meet shipowner’s specific needs based on the ship’s operational pattern and qualification of crew. All clients with a PureteQ Service Agreement have a designated Service Engineer and according to agreement you will only pay for what you get. Having serviced more than a hundred scrubber systems of PureteQ brand and almost as many mixed brands, we have gained invaluable knowledge of any type and brand of scrubber system. REMOTE ACCESS 24/7 PureteQ Scrubber Control System is at the forefront of the digitalization age and features full remote accessibility. The control system logs hundreds of datasets every second to ensure energy efficiency while minimizing the carbon footprint. Our windows-based Human Machine Interface (HMI) can be operated in manual mode or in fully automatic mode according to our client’s preferences and crew skills. Remote access allows our Service Engineers to perform system upgrades and data monitoring as well as assist your crew with online troubleshooting – effectively and cost efficient. Not only errors pertaining the scrubber system and the parts that PureteQ delivers but include the entire integration of the system. Remote access enables PureteQ Engineers to assist crews in trouble shooting and replacement of parts as well as data mining to predict the need for maintenance activity, thus reducing OPEX on the system. While the control system enables remote analysis and troubleshooting, our Service Engineers can support ship crews in operational tasks as well as locate errors that need to be rectified to ensure MARPOL compliance and system reliability. All of this at a low cost without physical presence. Today, our Service Engineers are supporting ship crews through remote access across the world with e.g. flag state reporting, maintenance, replacement of parts, analysis and troubleshooting. FLEET OPTIMIZATION SOFTWARE Beginning Q4 2021, we will offer PureteQ customers with a Service Agreement free of change cloud-based software for environmental performance reporting and optimization of scrubbers across the fleet. To the left, a sample view of actual data from a PureteQ customer fleet is illustrated (the ships’, in fleet, individual scrubber SFOC impact). It features the measuring of MARPOL compliance, operational performance (impact on SFOC) as well as environmental performance reporting, such as CO2, Sulfur and PM reductions. The software will enable sharing of learnings between crews, resulting in lower energy consumption and other OPEX. Savings are based on comparison between HFO with scrubber and compliant fuel and we have taken the lesser positive report from SINTEF into account as well as actual test performed by 3rd party, on sailing installations. The software is a perfect match to new IMO regulation on EED(X)I & CCI, when well to wake principle applies. This software will allow for across ship / fleet learnings to crews, hence reduction of cost and we see crews competing on operation of the scrubbers.
SPARE PART MANAGEMENT PureteQ’s Spare Part Management is performed by our dedicated service organization, PureServ. We offer Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEMs) components at a fair price as we are committed to quality at an affordable price. PureServ offers to keep track of Sensor Calibration and will notify the ship in due time, before calibration is needed. We offer automatic sensor replacement program as well. Clients, who have purchased a PureteQ scrubber, receive a list of recommended spare parts upon project finalization. For clients with a PureteQ Service Agreement, who have other brands of scrubber system installed, we evaluate the scrubber system and make recommendation on what parts need to be stored on board and which could be supplied from PureteQ safety stocks in Asia or in Europe. Shipment of spare parts from safety stocks will be initiated within 24 hours and for clients without a PureteQ Service Agreement within 3 working days. Spare Part Management is of course incorporated in PureServ’s 24/7 support service.
TAILOR-MADE SERVICE AGREEMENT A PureteQ Service Agreement is designed to meet shipowner’s specific needs based on the ship’s operational pattern and crew proficiency level. While most shipowners prefer predictive and condition-based maintenance to minimize the cost, we offer a tailor-made Service Agreement based on the actual conditions. You only pay for what you get. The PureteQ Service Agreement normally includes (but is not limited to) the following: •

TRAINING OF CREW Industry experience shows that a well-trained crew is of great importance for securing the highest uptime rates on scrubber systems. Therefore, initial training and refresher training of crew are included in a PureteQ Service Agreement. Training enables involved personnel to solve operational issues. Experience has shown that proper training creates ownership and prevents unnecessary downtime. PureteQ offers a Modular Training Package for Engineers, Deck Officers, Crew and Shore Personnel in; • • • • • • • •

All training modules are offered on site or in a virtual environment. When training is performed on board, the crew will learn by doing some of the most common activities, such as filter replacement, calibration of sensors etc.
Sea-trials of newly retrofitted scrubber systems have been accomplished with only crew and surveyor on-board. PureteQ Marine Engineers were granted remote access to analyze real-time data from the scrubber control system, advise crew and change settings as appropriate.
CERTIFIED CALIBRATION Sensors are type approved and must be factory calibrated according to maker by a certified engineer to maintain MARPOL approval for the EGC System. The gas analyzer (CEMS System) must be calibrated once per year. PureServ Service Engineers hold the necessary certification and experience to calibrate the CEMS system at a favorable rate. Sensor Replacement Program is an optional add-on service to a PureteQ Service Agreement. This entails that when pH, PAH and turbidity sensors need calibration, it will be offered as a Sensor Replacement Program through PureServ. The ship will receive a newly calibrated sensor before shipping the old sensor to PureServ. We may also assist clients in calibration of the components, which do not demand certified service. The pH sensor must be calibrated every 1-3 months. PureteQ has developed guidelines and video streams to ease the work for the crew. PurteQ has also esteblished a Water Sampling Program to ease the life of shipowners.
