USING THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MATERIAL (PLAYWOOD, CHIPBOARD & ARCYLIC) A SET OF TWO TYPES OF CUTS WERE SET FOR THREE MATERIALS. THE FIRST ROUND OF THREE USED ENGRAVING WITHOUT FILLING IN THE LETTERS AND THE OTHER THREE ENGRAVED AND USED A FILL ON THE LETTERS

THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHAPES AGGREGATED TOGETHER IN CONNECTION (RECTANGLE CYLINDER & PENTAGON) THE SHAPES ARE THEN ROLLED OUT CREATING A PATTERN OF CUTS AND FOLDS TO BE ASSEMBLED AS ONE.

THIS MODEL WAS MADE BY CHOOSING A SHAPE (EXTRUDED PENTAGON) THAT WILL FIT INTO A 2” CUBE. THE SHAPE WAS THEN MINIPULATED USING THE TWist COMMAND. THE MODEL SHOWS THE CAPABILITIES OF THE MAKERBOT. IT IS ABLE TO GENERATE ITS OWN RAFTS AND STABLIZERS FOR THE MODEL.

USING THE MAKERBOT I WAS TO DESIGN A THREE DIMENSIONAL PRINT RELATED TO ARCHITECTURE. I CHOSE TO CREATE A FACADE WITH A SERIES OF OPENINGS WITH MULTIPLE TYPES OF SHADED ANGLES TO CREATE A SUN STUDY. I NEGLECTED TO ADD A BOX UNDER THE FACADE SO WHEN THE MAKERBOT CREATED MY FACADE DIRECTLY ON THE RAFT.

IN RHINO THE COASTER WAS CREATED. USING RHINOCAM THE TOOL FOR THE CNC ROUTER IS PICKED AND USED TO CREATE A SET OF THREE TOOL PATHS. THE FIRST TO ROUGH OUT THE CIRCLE, THE SECOND TO DO A CLEAN PASS ON THE EDGE OF THE CIRCLE AND THE THIRD TO CUT THE SQUARE OFF THE MATERIAL

IN RHINO A GRID IS CREATED WITH BUILDINGS & STREETS. USING RHINOCAM A SERIES OF TOOL PATHS ARE CREATED FOR THE CNC ROUTER. THE FIRST ROUGHING THE SITE AND EDGING THE BUILDINGS AND THE SECOND TO CREATE THE CURBS AND STREET.

IN RHINO A TOPOGRAPHY IS CREATED USING AN ONLINE MARYLAND RESOURCE TO GATHER ROADS, BUILDINGS AND TOPOGRAPHY INTO A .DXF USING RHINOCAM, A SERIES OF TWO AXIS AND THREE AXIS MACHINING OPERATIONS ARE ORDERED. TWO TYPES OF TOOLS ARE USED TO CREATE THE MODEL.
