GENERAL INFORMATION Holy Week Worship Maundy Thursday, April 17 th 3:30 and 7:00 pm (both with Holy Communion) Good Friday, April 18 th Tre Ore 12:00, 12:30 and 1:00 pm (with Holy Communion) Tenebrae 7:00 pm Saturday, April 19 th Easter Eve Vigil, 5:00 pm at PA Rd Campus EASTER SUNDAY, April 20 th WORSHIP TIMES Sunrise, 7:00 am (with Holy Communion) Festival, 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 am All Easter services are held at Trenton Rd. 9:45 am service at PA Rd will resume April 27 th. We encourage our members to attend an earlier service to help make room for the visitors at 11am. If you are able, please park across the street to make room for the visitors. Thank you. EASTER BREAKFAST – Join us on Easter morning from 7:30 to 10am. This delicious meal will be catered by Secret Recipes. Menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown patties, biscuits, and orange juice. A free-will offering will be collected.

BIBLE STUDIES PLEASE MAKE THE STUDY OF GOD’S WORD A ROUTINE OF YOUR WORSHIP LIFE FELLOWSHIP BIBLE STUDY – Please join us Saturday at 6pm in the West Gallery, Sunday at 9:45am in the Gym on Trenton Rd, as well as 10:50am in the Atrium at the PA Rd Campus. We are studying Luke’s Gospel. WEST GALLERY BIBLE STUDY – We are looking at a video series on “The Early Church.” Please join us. HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH BIBLE STUDY meets at 9:45am in the Upper Room. Please join us. MEN’S BIBLE STUDY meets on Wednesdays from 8 to 9am at the PA Rd Campus Fellowship Center. WOMEN’S WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY meets every Wednesday at 9:15am in the Upper Room. We are studying Ecclesiastes. All women are welcome. We will not meet April 16 th and 23rd, but will resume on April 30 th.

22-HOUR PRAYER VIGIL - Good Friday, April 18 th from 8pm to April 19th, 9am, Trenton Rd Campus. Saturday, April 19 th, 9am to 5pm, PA Rd Campus. Sign-up books are available in all weekend Bible Classes and at the Ministry Center. Prayer cards are available on the table as you enter the Sanctuary and in the Atrium at PA Rd.

SMALL GROUP INFORMATION - New Small Groups will begin this September. Would you enjoy meeting once a month in a member’s home to study God’s Word and enjoy Christian fellowship? Small groups usually meet during the school year from September to May, taking December off. We try to keep each group between 15 and 20 people. Presently, we have 20 Small Groups that meet regularly. We would like to start at least one new group this fall, so if this interests you, please contact Carol at or 734.281.3773.

8th GRADE FISH FRY – Maundy Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Cost for this all-you-can-eat meal is Adults $8, Students (4–13) $5, Immediate Family Plan $30.00, under 4 is free. Menu is fried and baked fish, chicken tenders, coleslaw, roll and dessert. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

PENNSYLVANIA RD CAMPUS NEWS MOWING - If you are interested in helping out with mowing at our PA Rd Campus, please contact Rick Lang at or 734.654.6884. We can use help with weed whipping, hand mowing and rider mowing.

EASTER EGG SCRAMBLE – TODAY, Sunday, April 13 th, following the 11am service. We will begin promptly at 12:05 in the Trenton Rd. gym, so bring a bag or basket. Children through 12 years are welcome to participate. Hop on over and join the FUN! This is a great role for Confirmands wanting to help with set-up at 10:45.

SCRAP METAL PICK UPS - For the safety of our volunteers, no pickups will be made during the winter months. Pick-ups will resume in the Spring. You are still welcome to drop items off in the scrap dumpster located on the PA Rd Campus. Thank you for ALL of your donations to this fundraising ministry.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE – Monday, April 14 th, from 1 to 6:45pm in the Trenton Rd West Gallery. Sign-up on the poster near the Welcome Center or at American Red Cross is having a drawing at our location for a $150 Kroger gift card for anyone who donates. ITEMS OF INTEREST “C” DOLLARS – We are collecting “C” dollars now through Easter Sunday. Look for the box at the back of the sanctuary. All proceeds will go toward the Capital Fund Drive. 2014 YTD is $289. FLAMINGO FLOCKING - Want to flock someone’s yard this spring with 25, 50 or more bright pink plastic flamingos? The High School Youth will be providing this service throughout April, May and June for birthdays, anniversaries, birth announcements, retirements, or just for plain ole fun! Prices are very reasonable: 25 flamingos for $20 or 50 flamingos for $30. All funds help support our trip to the Michigan District LMCS Gathering on Mackinac Island this June. Please see flyers in the church office or contact any high school youth or Becki Kerr at for details. Anti-flocking insurance is also available for only $20. DEARBORN SAUSAGE COMPANY - The High School Youth are selling Dearborn Ham Products for delivery before Easter. CTK’s SPRING MOM2MOM SALE - SAVE THE DATE for the CTK Mom to Mom Sale on Saturday, May 3 rd, from 9am to 1pm, hosted by the CTK High School Youth Group. Over 100 tables of great re-sale items and vendors. Admission is only $1! A great concession stand and bake sale will also be available. CTK COMMUNITY GARDEN – Do you like to garden? Do you have a green thumb? Join us Sunday, April 27th at 12:15pm in the Cana Room as we discuss our plans for the 2014 community garden at the PA Rd Campus. Planting date is Saturday, May 17 th at 9am. The harvest is used to benefit our food pantry. LWML DEARBORN/DOWNRIVER ZONE SPRING RALLY – Tuesday, April 22nd, 7 to 9pm at St. John’s Lutheran, 13115 Telegraph, Taylor. The theme is “Until the Nets are Full” based on Matthew 4:19, “And He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’” The speaker is CTK member, Debby Suchyta. Please join us! COLLECTIONS IN THE WEST GALLERY COFFEE CANS – At this time we have enough coffee cans for the Altar flowers. Thank you for your donations! JR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH 7th & 8th GRADE YOUTH meet today, Sunday, April 13 th from 5 to 7pm. Join us for Bible study, fellowship and an Easter Egg Hunt. HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH TONIGHT Sunday, April 13th we meet from 7 to 9pm at the PA Rd Campus for devotion and snack. HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH NEXT WEEK Sunday, April 20th we will not meet. Happy Easter! SUPPORT MINISTRIES GRIEFSHARE - Two sessions of this support group, for those grieving the loss of a loved one, have been scheduled: April 28th to July 21st and October 6 th to December 29th. We will meet on Mondays from 7 to 9pm in the Upper Room. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WELCOME CALLERS - Are you interested in meeting new visitors to Christ The King? We are in need of two more Welcome Callers. We meet in the evening two times per month for about two hours each time. It is a rewarding ministry for those that have the spiritual gifts of Hospitality and Shepherding. To ensure the safety of our church, the Watch Patrol goes through the building and makes sure all doors are locked and lights turned off. IN THE WEST GALLERY EASTER LILY CHART is up in the West Gallery. Cost is $7 per plant. We encourage you to purchase a plant in memory of or in honor of a loved one. Honorees will be listed in the bulletin. Deadline for ordering is April 13 th. Please take an envelope and place payment in the offering. You may pick up your plant(s) after the 11:00 service. CARE NOTES FOR ADULTS AND TEENS are available at the Resource Center in the West Gallery. Check out these encouraging pamphlets, covering many different topics, including dealing with grief, illness, being a care-giver, prayer, and growing in Christ. Feel free to help yourself and/or take one for a friend. Also, remember to read/study your Bible daily, as all the answers are there, as well. DONATION STATION NEWS DONATION STATION HELP NEEDED - Before our May 16 th - 17th sale we need to get all of our rooms cleaned, straightened, and organized. Most rooms have volunteers in charge of them, but we have several rooms that need to be “adopted.” Stop by on Thursdays from 2 to 4pm or Saturdays from 10am to 1pm, to help out or pick a room of your own! We also encourage all of you bakers to start making cookies for this Spring Sale. Make them now and freeze them! Many people come to our sale just for those great homemade CTK cookies!
