ver wonder why you do the things that you do or like the things that you like? Are you just like Great Aunt Sally or Uncle Jo? Have you heard someone say, “That apple did not fall far from that tree?” If so, you are just like all the rest of us, bearing the fruit of someone else’s tree. For years Dr. Michelle LaMasa-Schrader studied the way the mind, body and soul are connected. I had the privilege of attending one of her seminars in March and was amazed by her knowledge and insight into the brain/body/health connection through Recall Healing. The Kitchen Table Counseling Services has utilized this technique for years and has brought physical healing and mental health to countless clients.

patterns cycle back again until we learn to deal with the issues at hand and resolve them in a way our mind can process. You will see how traits, patterns and difficulties are passed down your family tree based on your birth order.

Claim it…

At first glance, it seemed a bit strange, but once I began to see the patterns in people’s lives and witnessed some healing taking place first hand, I realized how powerful our mind can be. Dr. Michelle walked several of the participants through a process identifying their health issue, the date it began and worked backwards over their life to find where their mind and body worked together to solve some problem it could not handle on its own. At a Recall Healing seminar, you will learn the basic concepts of how the mind and body work together to handle stress, trauma and emotions. You will learn how our life

By the end of the three-day seminar attendees walked away with an awareness of when their health issue began, how awareness could help alleviate the symptoms and how healing could be achieved. One person had intense pain near the trapezius muscle (according to Chinese traditional medicine, this area, the meridian, has to do with grudge) from her shoulder to her neck. Dr. Michelle asked her one question, “What is your grudge?” After a brief question and answer session between them, the pain immediately began to subside. Runny noses, sneezing, nerve pain, lower back pain and all other ailments are our brains way to handle certain emotional issues or traumas in our lives. One woman had problems with her lower back that cleared up after being asked, “Why do you feel unsupported?” Another person suffered from back pain which stemmed from being overly concerned about the family

finances that cleared up by just acknowledging the issue and talking through it.

And dump it! Every issue is linked to a story, an incident or a trauma; the key is identifying the right one to help clear up the physical symptoms that appear. There is a phrase that is also used, “Name it (the issue), claim it (the pain/disease) and dump it (break the pattern forever). This can be a powerful tool towards healing. Awareness of the issue is the key to healing. Have an issue or a disease that you are tired of living with? Insomnia, anxiety or allergies bothering you? Attention deficit keeping you from achieving?
