Canteen volunteers required Sue Kitto is looking for canteen helpers for Anzac Day matches on Wednesday April 25th. Port is hosting matches at 1:00pm, 2:30pm, 4:00pm and 5:30pm Please contact if you can help for a couple of hours

Canteen Duty This year the canteen manager is required to balance the till at the end of the day. It would be appreciated if team volunteers could assist with the cleaning of the canteen following its close at half time of the last game. I would envisage players would be required possibly to the end of the last game although it may not take that long.

Magpie Update: April 20th 2012 It would also be beneficial if players were rostered to start prior to the commencement of the first match for the afternoon especially if there are no fixtures in the morning eg Independent Schools on a Saturday. I and the rostered canteen manager would appreciate if you could roster players to start 15 minutes before the first Metro game & to conclude at the end of the last game for the day eg games scheduled for 12:30 – 18:30 then volunteers should be rostered from 12:15 – 19:45 even though they may actually finish earlier. Magpie Update: April 20th 2012 Reminder: Online Registration & Sporting Pulse We have been advised there will be penalties for playing unregistered players so naturally we don’t want any penalties! Be warned Hockey SA are serious about this: • •

Woodville Premier league men have had a 5-0 forfeit for playing an uncleared player Burnside Premier League had a 5-0 forfeit for not registering a player that had played for the Club for the last 5 years prior to the game

There is a completely new look and feel to the web site - it can be confusing when changes like this happen so please ask someone if you are not sure. Could all teams please forward team lists to me as soon as they are finalised so I can check & make sure your players are registered for the weekend’s games. This will also need to be done for the first few weeks until we are confident all players are registered. Premier League – this may not apply quite so much to you but please advise me if you have any players taking the field for the first time. Also a quick reminder that results & team lists need to be entered onto SportingPulse as soon as possible after the game. This will also avoid fines. Detailed instructions on deadlines & entering results are included in Manager folders to be distributed this week. As always, any questions just ask & Sue will endeavour to answer them. Every player must register each year to play hockey. If you don’t register yourself someone else must to do it for you! Just think how many players there are in our club and how long it would take for the poor club secretary to register you all. This applies to senior players also, you are not exempt! Please use the link on the club website to register yourself and update your details so you can stay informed. You can pay at the same time or make a funds transfer into the club bank account. Click here to register online Remember if you pay by 31st March you receive a 10% discount! Club bank account details are: BSB 105-001 Account Number 035204640 Account Name Port Adelaide District Hockey Club Any enquiries regarding fees or to enquire about family discounts etc please contact You can quest your username & password which will be sent to your registered email address. Please email if you request this information but don’t receive it, I will then send you the relevant login information and update your email address if required.
