Player Development Player Selection Policy It is club policy for all players to play in their appropriate age group in accordance with their age unless there are exceptional circumstances. The appropriate grade is determined by the age that each player attains at the beginning of the calendar year.

Junior Magpie April 2012 Playing Above an Age Group or Filling In The Port Adelaide District Hockey Club aspires to provide members the opportunity to develop their hockey skills to their full potential. Through consultation between parents, players, team coaches, the Junior Vice President, and as part of the Player Development Program, where possible suitable players will be invited to compete in a higher age group. Where there are a number of players recognised for development, these players may be placed on a rotation to participate at that higher age group. Training Twice With the introduction of junior training sessions on Wednesday evenings, the Club is now in a position to offer our junior members the opportunity to train more than once a week. This may mean you can train with your age group, and then again with the age group above, or with one of our senior groups. Please speak to your team coach regarding you opportunity to enjoy a second training.

Player Safety Equipment The Port Adelaide District Hockey Club asks and encourages all of our junior members to use the appropriate player safety equipment. The minimum equipment we expect our junior members to use is a mouthguard and shinpads. We encourage that these items are well fitting and suitable for hockey. We have club support in the supply of player safety equipment through Hockey World and Performance Sports Mouthguards, if you have any queries, please speak to your team coach or contact Gary Szkolik, Junior Vice President.

Uniforms & Club Apparel If you would like to order any club apparel, the next order will be placed shortly. Club apparel details are available at the Club notice board or from Liza Manskey. Please contact if you are interested.
