ALWAYS REFORMING Sunday, October 28, 2012, is the day we celebrate the continual reforming of the church of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Reformation began back in 1517 when Martin Luther officially began a religious movement that has continued since October 31 in that year. It all began officially as he nailed his 95 Theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. The Nassau and Stuyvesant Reformed Churches will focus in worship on Romans 3:9-20 where Paul writes to the Christians in Rome and believers everywhere that no one is saved by works; but rather by faith alone. In seeking to better understand his relationship with God, Paul found this truth. In the sermon titled, “Always Reforming,” the Reverend Edward L. Van Kampen will speak
Bulletin Board to several areas of life today in which we need to reorganize, refocus, reenergize our thinking. The Nassau Reformed Church begins worship at 11 a.m. in its chapel on the second level of its Church School building, 43 Church Street (route 20), one half mile east of the only traffic light in the village. The Stuyvesant Reformed church begins worship at 9 a.m. in its sanctuary at the corner of Route 9J and Church Street, one half mile south of the only traffic (caution) light in the hamlet of Stuyvesant.
