ing Education Program announces its next available 6-hour Pre-Licensing class. The Six-Hour Driver Training Associates Insurance/Point Reduction Course reduces car liability, collision and no-fault insurance premiums by 10% for 3 years and may remove up to 4 points off your license, as determined by the Department of Motor Vehicles. The class will be held at Columbia High School, 962 Luther Rd, East Greenbush in room S314 on Saturday, February 9th from 9:00am – 3:00pm. You will need to bring a check for $40.00 made payable to EGCSD Continuing Education along with your driver’s license or learner’s permit and a pen or pencil. There will not be a break, please bring your lunch. The Five Hour Pre-Licensing Course is required before an appointment for a road test may be scheduled. MELVIN ROADS AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL Melvin Roads American Legion Baseball team plays a competitive 35 game summer baseball schedule for serious varsity level baseball players. Melvin Roads has captured New York State Championships in 2007 and 2009. Last season, Melvin Roads won the Coopers Cave Tournament; comprised of more than 32 talented American Legion teams from all over the continental United States. The team is managed by former Melvin Roads and collegiate players; Marc Peluso, Troy High coach Curtis Nobles, and Matt Murphy. You will have the option to pay with either a credit card or a send a check in the mail, but you must register online. Register until 1/31/13 without a late fee. Starting on 1/31/2013 there will be a $20.00 late fee added to each player’s registration (except t-ball). Division will be determined by player’s age on January 1, 2013. To register for the T-Ball Division, the child must be 5 years old prior to September 1, 2013 and a copy of the birth certificate must be mailed to the league. DEVIL CATS BASEBALL IN-HOUSE BASEBALL PROGRAM The Devil Cats are now accepting registrations for the 2013 in-house baseball season for all players graduating from Little League, especially players who graduated from Twin Town Little League. In addition, any player from ages 13 through 15 from any area can register to just play in-house baseball. TOWN OF SCHODACK PEE WEE WRESTLING PROGRAM The Town of Schodack is pleased to announce the 2013 Pee Wee Wrestling Program to be held at the Maple Hill High School Multi-Use Facility (MUF). The program will be held on Tuesday and Thursday beginning February 5, 2013 and continue through March 21, 2013 except during the February break. The cost is $25.00 for one child or $50.00 per family, which includes tee shirt and tournament with awards. Children in grades 1, 2 or 3 will meet from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and those in grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 will meet from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Registration may be made in person at the Schodack Town Clerk’s Office or by mail. Send in the registration form (available at the Town Hall or on line at www. schodack.org) and a check made payable to Town of Schodack Recreation by February 7, 2013 to the following address: Schodack Town Clerk’s Office, 265 Schuurman Rd., Castleton, NY 12033.
