“OLD-FASHIONED PERSONAL SERVICE MEETING YOUR MODERN HEALTHCARE NEEDS” Young’s Pharmacy & General Store is an independently family owned business nestled right in the hamlet of Averill Park on the corner of Route 43 and Burden Lake Road at the old Variety Store. You will want to come and visit our establishment not only for your healthcare needs, but also for our friendly atmosphere and unique local items. Once you walk in, you will be welcomed by the old-fashioned decor as well as the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. As you explore more within the historic building, you will find in the back a hidden gem of Averill Park: Paula’s Country Kitchen. A typical myth that we often debunk is our “little guy” status. We are just as competitive as your big box pharmacies with just about everything. We are often asked, “How do we compete?” The answer is: “Old Fashioned Personal Service.” Our philosophy is simple; to treat our patients/customers the way we would like to be treated. We are proud to say that we know most of clientele on a first name basis and address each of their needs on a personal level. No individual is the same and their needs are certainly not the same. We compound prescriptions, take special orders on Over-The-Counter (OTC) items, and have free delivery for prescriptions. Some other services we provide here are: Medication Therapy Management, Immunizations and Compliance packaging. Our front end boasts a wide variety of local products including ceramic pottery, beaded jewelry, hand blown vases, hand-made pizza cutters and ice cream scoops, greeting cards, locally roasted coffee beans, local dairy in glass bottles, and many more. You will be blown away from the delicious sandwiches, soups and dinner specials from Paula’s Country Kitchen. Also ask her about some of the delicious desserts and how she can cater your next family gathering!
