CIRCLE THEATRE PLAYERS PRESENTS THE PLAY “OF MICE AND MEN”
L to R: 3 Generations - Jay Reilly, JJ Reilly and Paul Mahar “It’s so hard to find a good mechanic you can trust”, said a customer in the waiting area. The woman had been taken advantage of with a car repair she had the week before at another repair shop in Clifton Park. If you could see the cob job that had been done to her car and the price she paid, you would be appalled and disheartened as she was. As consumers, we are at the mercy of whomever we bring our vehicles to for repair. I find this especially true as a woman. Nestled on Old Miller Rd. in East Greenbush you will find a family of mechanics that you can trust. Three generations of Reilly’s work together, Jay (referred to as Sr.), JJ (his son), who are both ASE Certified, and Paul Mahar (Jay’s grandson). In the front office/waiting room you will meet Pat Reilly (Jay’s wife) who has more knowledge of automobiles than most trained mechanics. J&J Reilly Automotive was founded in 2004. The business has grown and grown since then, as the word spread that the work performed there is of the highest quality, they never do unnecessary repairs and is a place you can bring your vehicle with confidence that you will not be ripped off. It’s worth shopping around for pricing when having work done on your vehicle. With more and more chain shops moving into the area, it’s easier to end up spending way more than you need to. J&J Reilly Automotive offers the best pricing in town for exhaust systems, tune-ups, suspension, brakes, oil changes, detailing, free diagnostics, replacement or rebuilt transmissions and engines. All their work is guaranteed and they will beat any competitor’s price. They also offer free coolant and battery testing. They not only do repairs, they can help you protect your vehicle with reasonably priced expert detailing. If you are in need of front brake pads you are “in luck”. The

WAVE RIDERS HELPS CHILDREN COPE WITH LOSS Children grieve personal losses just as much as adults do and also need support. The Wave Riders program of The Community Hospice helps children “ride the waves of grief” in a caring environment. Thursdays at 5:00 p.m., starting April 11 through May 16, the program of peer support groups, for children in grades K through 8th grade, will take place at the Hospice office at 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer. For detailed information, please contact Julia Soto at 285-8100. In these group experiences, children develop skills to help them cope with the losses they may encounter throughout their lives and build self esteem. According to Liz Smith, Supervisor of Bereavement Services, “It is important that children be able to recognize their normal feelings of sadness and grief, and have the opportunity to express them in a safe and comfortable setting. When they share with other grieving children, they feel less isolated.”

(NAPSI)—Investing some time and effort in researching your stockbroker—just as you would if he or she were a security— can pay dividends. That’s the word from experts who say before working with a broker or other financial professional, make sure that person is licensed to sell you an investment. One way to do this is by using a free online tool from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) called BrokerCheck. Firms and IndividualsTo use the online tool, go to www.finra.org/brokercheck. You can look up a specific firm or investment professional. You can also search by zip code. When researching individuals, the tool can be used to find:• employment history;• approved licenses, registrations, and qualification exams passed;• certain misdemeanor charges and convictions; and• Disciplinary actions and sanctions imposed by FINRA, the SEC or other regulators. When researching a firm, the tool can be used to find:• its address, legal status and types of business it engages in;• a 10-year history of all felony charges and convictions, and certain misdemeanor charges and convictions;• disciplinary actions and proceedings initiated by regulators; and• Bankruptcy proceedings and arbitration award information.Even if an individual or firm does not have a history of reported problems, the tool can help detect potential red flags. For example, you can see if an individual broker has switched firms frequently over a short period of time, or if the firm has changed its name often. The First Step”The first step any investor should take before he or she does business is to use BrokerCheck to do a background search,” said Gerri Walsh, president of FINRA Investor Education Foundation. “Make sure the investment professional is licensed either with FINRA as a registered representative or with the SEC or a state regulator as a registered investment adviser.” FINRA is the largest independent regulator for all securities firms doing business in the United States. For more resources, visit www.finra.org/investors.

CIPPERLY NAMED TO SUNY CANTON DEAN’S LIST
ALL ARE WELCOME AT ST. MICHAEL’S With the marking of Ash Wednesday, the Christian Community has entered a period of preparation for our observance of Holy Week and Easter Sunday. Easter is central to the tenets of our Faith, with its focus on the reality of Resurrection, redemption, and rebirth. Some local Congregations have announced a homecoming theme in their Lenten observance, which reflects these concepts, and we at St Michael the Archangel Parish join in “welcoming home” all who wish to join us. Following the leadership and example of our Parish Life Director, Sister Katherine Arseneau csj, we remain mindful of the diversity of need and interest in those around us, and welcome all who enter our door. We invite any who have been away from church for a while, to return and join us in this season of preparation and renewal. St Michael’s has beautiful, participatory liturgies and activities planned for Lent and Holy Week. This includes a covered dish communal meal following our celebration of The Lord’s Last Supper on Holy Thursday evening, 3/28. Please access our website www.stmichaeltroy.com for a listing of Lenten opportunities. If you have questions, please call Sister Kate at 283-6110. You will be welcomed at any and all of our services.
