REPUBLICAN PRIMARY THURSDAY 9/13 In my opinion, there is only one choice for the State Senate and that is Kathy Marchione. Roy McDonald (who claims to be a Republican ) wants to continue on as your representative for same sex marriage and the bathroom bill. He deserted Rupublicans and the State Senate Republican Majority to vote for the Same Sex Marriage bill. He has hosted a number of other bills while being in the majority, yet has been successful in getting less than 1/2 of the passed (Tell you anything?). Kathy, a Conservative Republican, is the current Saratoga County Clerk, well liked by her constituents and has contributed to the efficiency of County/ Town Governments by reducing Government costs. She is a friend of Veterans, sponsoring a savings program for them in her County. After meeting with her on more than one occasion I am convinced that if she is elected to the Senate, she, unlike Mr. McDonald, will look out for our Christian values and interest. She, unlike Mr. McDonald, believes that marriage is between a man and a woman. She, unlike Mr. McDonald, will fight to get our fair share of State tax dolalrs for our schools and not accept a trickle down token. She, unlike Mr. McDonald, will fight to reduce the size and expense of State Govenment thereby reducing some of the tax burden we currently are saddled with. My values coincide with Kathy’s and I hope yours do too and that you will support her in the upcoming primary and general election. ~Terry Turner & Joe Johnson Both Former Sand Lake Republican Town Chairmen & Committeemen PAID ADVERTISING

Recently, I have had the pleasure of visiting with many fellow residents of North Greenbush. I have been knocking on numerous doors campaigning, as I am running for Town Justice for the Town of North Greenbush. To appear on a ballot, a candidate must collect signatures from voters. I thought it was important to do this work myself for two reasons. First, it gave me the opportunity to meet town residents personally. Second, by doing the work myself, I do not owe anyone except the voters. I walked neighborhoods and asked nearly 300 voters for their support. With help from friends and using a personal shoestring budget, I am maintaining an independent campaign. When meeting residents, I heard how many are tired of partisan politics. It seems that often, helping a party is more important than helping citizens. My goal is to keep politics out of our courtroom. Nothing should interfere with the fair dispensation of justice. I have been an attorney for 14 years; my experience includes: • 4 years as a criminal prosecutor; • 3 1/2 years employed at a local private firm where I defended people and local businesses in lawsuits; • 6 years as an attorney for New York State working on complex environmental enforcement and energy litigation. I have extensive courtroom experience in both civil and criminal litigation, and am trained in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, which I hope to utilize as Town Justice. For more information, please visit me on Facebook. I have a proven commitment to our community: • Coach for rec and travel soccer, lacrosse, and assisted baseball and basketball hoop camp; • Treasurer of Averill Park Youth Basketball League; • Volunteer Junior Achievement Instructor at West Sand Lake Elementary; and • Served on the Town Board. For those I have not yet encountered, I hope to meet you in the next few months. To those with whom I spoke, again I ask for your assistance. Please vote in the primary on Thursday, September 13th, and thank you for your support. ~ Submitted by Alan Michaels

Pet Adoption of the Week
Tuck - A sweet little guy who is active and
would love a chance to be trained in any dog sport or be someones jogging partner. He is not a dog who wants to sit and watch the flowers grow. Tuck is approx. 10 months old, neutered, current with all vaccines and heartworm negative. Tuck is very active and has some herding instincts in him. He should not be adopted into a home with small children (due to herding instincts) or a home who has never had a dog before and does not understand the herding breed. He is very loveable and wants to please. He needs a job to do! Let’s put him to work. If you would like to meet Tuck to possibly adopt him, Contact : doddtot @ aol.com or 518-393-0755
