Processional Opening Hymn ………………….……… “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go” O LOVE THAT WILL NOT LET ME GO

O Love that wilt not let me go, I rest my weary soul in thee; I give thee back the life I owe, That in thine ocean depths its flow May richer, fuller be.

O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain, That morn shall tearless be.

O Light that followest all my way, I yield my flickering torch to thee; My heart restores its borrowed ray, That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day May brighter, fairer be.

O Cross that liftest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee; I lay in dust life’s glory dead, And from the ground there blossoms red Life that shall endless be.

Recessional Hymn…………...........................…………. “Redeemed, How I Love To Proclaim It” REDEEMED, HOW I LOVE TO PROCLAIM IT!

Redeemed--how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; Redeemed through His infinite mercy, His child, and forever, I am.

I think of my blessed Redeemer, I think of Him all the day long; I sing, for I cannot be silent; His love is the theme of my song.

Redeemed, redeemed,     Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;     Redeemed, redeemed,     His child, and forever, I am.  Redeemed and so happy in Jesus, No language my rapture can tell; I know that the light of His presence With me doth continually dwell.

I know I shall see in His beauty The King in whose way I delight; Who lovingly guardeth my footsteps, And giveth me songs in the night.

At the Graveside Officiating Minister……...................................…….. Rev. Dr. Carlton Dennis Hymn ………….................................................. “Sweet By and By” There’s a land that is fairer than day, To our bountiful Father above, And by faith we can see it afar; We will offer our tribute of praise, For the Father waits over the way For the glorious gift of His love, To prepare us a dwelling-place there. And the blessings that hallow our days. In the sweet…by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore In the sweet…by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore The melodious songs of the blest, And our spirits shall sorrow no more, Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

Committal of the Body Hymn ……...................................................… When all my labours and trials are o’er, And I am safe on that beautiful shore, Just to be near the dear Lord I adore, Will through the ages be glory for me.

“O That Will Be Glory” When, by the gift of His infinite grace, I am accorded in Heaven a place, Just to be there and to look on His face, Will through the ages be glory for me.

O that will be glory for me, Glory for me, glory for me; When by His grace I shall look on His face, That will be glory, be glory for me.

Friends will be there I have loved long ago; Joy like a river around me will flow; Yet, just a smile from my Saviour, I know, Will through the ages be glory for me.

Ah! The memories of you Ma cannot on this sheet be entirely written, so I pulled, hopefully, the best of these slides to share with others how precious you were. There was the Ma, who among everything else entrusted me with a GODLY HERITAGE. Its obvious in your wisdom you laid brick by brick, the measure of a righteous man. I am grateful to you for creating in me the love for every man’s soul. Your commitment to any task in the fellowship created in me that eagerness to be willing to serve and understand that it’s what’s done for Christ that will last. There was the Ma, who presented to me a CARING HEART. You never knew how to say no, even if it would affect your comfort in a big way. Everybody’s problem became yours and if you had a 1,000-room hotel it would have full occupancy always. Initially, I was not always happy to be sharing everything based on your personal feelings towards a matter but how the lesson sank in, that a caring heart directly resembles Jesus’. Then there was the Ma, who taught me, Management 101. BE RESPONSIBLE for to be anything else would incur a searing sense of your personal take on justice. BE ACCOUNTABLE, but how could you always expect me to account for things I thought I had no control over and then I’d see your hands were quicker than any Westerner I had seen on the television. ACCEPT CORRECTION and how well I remember the stares that auto corrected my wayward ways right away. I knew you had a HEART OF LOVE, how happy am I to have been a part of such a blessed heart. As the other slides roll I see a day when a bigger Love will captivate our hearts and we will hand in hand worship the AUTHOR OF LOVE. …..Ainsley…..

Frederica was no ordinary mother; she had no confusions about who was the parent and who were the children. Any ambiguity would be easily sorted with what was referred to in our house as the, ‘broad band’. Humility was a necessary component for our proper growth and development, as she would say, ‘the humble calf always look healthy.’ Self control was also a critical quality. In her words, ‘a no every kotta stick knock yu fi jump.’ Hard work she said never killed anybody and if she was able to make us responsible people she felt half the battle was won. Most importantly, my mother felt her greatest possible contribution to our lives was to expose us to a relationship with her God. She was convinced that all the success we needed for our lives was guaranteed by such a relationship. She confessed to me, ‘when I go to praise God for what he has done in my life, I have to raise both my hands.’ Mama, you were awesome, rest in peace. ……. Frederick “Steve”….. My mother taught me the meaning of commitment without expectation. I saw her demonstrate this to my dad, to her siblings, to my siblings, to my husband and kids, as well as to children from our church community. For her no “demand” was too much as long as it made a positive difference for the person in need. Education was important to her, consequently our home was always full of aunts, uncles, cousins… all getting an opportunity to make better for themselves. Thank you Mom for all you taught me both in your action and words. Love, …………..Pat, Junior, & the children………….. Thanks for the head start on life, love and spirituality. You made living and loving easy and practical. …………….Michelle……………   10

I had a praying Mother-in-Law… the epitome of a good wife and mother.

……….Mark………..

Grandma gave us advice about school, life and boys. Don’t go to “peoples” house too often, she’d say. A great example of what it means to live for Christ and others. ……Marchelle & Michka….. It’s impossible to find an expression of admiration, a suitable acknowledgment, a  gift to show gratitude  or a statement that expresses the deep love and respect I have for my mother. A statement expressed to me by someone who never knew her helped me, their words were “Although we never knew her, we know you and your fine example reflects the kind of woman we are sure she was!” It dawned on me then, I am a tribute to my mother, a living statement and expression; I will therefore strive to continue extending her legacy to the rest of the world! ……….Cheryl………. Things will never be the same without my mother. There are so many things left to happen in my life that she should have been a part of...so many things left for her to teach me. But she did teach me many things while she was here: On justice………………………..………..…: “dem a go a hell sideways” On social grace…………………..……..…: “if yuh cyaa dance a yaad, yuh cyaa dance abraad” On staying out too late:……..…...…..: “time serious” On how not to make sorrel…….…….: “yuh a eediat?” On God’s mercies and provisions.…: “give thanks” I don’t know what I’ll ever do without my mother. …….Kareen…….   11
