The importance of creating a great impression has therefore never been higher. Our aim will be to build on Croydon’s fast-growing reputation as an up-and-coming place in which to invest, by helping to promote everything that the town centre has to offer and raising its profile as a dynamic, welcoming and exciting place in which to work, live and do business.

FUTURE PROJECTS: Events and entertainment

Check Out Croydon loyalty card

We will introduce fresh, vibrant and innovative programmes of entertainment and activity throughout the year to attract and maintain interest and help enhance everyone’s experience of the town centre

We will build on the success of our town centre loyalty card scheme, Check Out Croydon, to boost trade further by increasing the number of active cardholders and offers available

Use of alternative spaces

Town centre Christmas lights

We will endeavour to animate currently under-utilised areas to broaden out the sense of vitality across the town centre

We will continue to fund the annual town centre Christmas lights scheme, adding extra festive sparkle to 15 of Croydon’s main thoroughfares

We will continue to promote Croydon town centre through co-ordinated marketing, advertising, PR, social media and promotional programmes website We will develop and enhance our checkoutcroydon. com website, to further strengthen its position as an essential interactive guide to what’s on, where to go, getting around and offers available in Croydon town centre

We will work with key partners and their agencies on the development and promotion of a cohesive brand for Croydon that helps to reposition the town as it continues on its journey and reflects its future aspirations

Arts and culture Working with key partners, we will aim to deliver projects and initiatives designed to support the evolution of the arts and cultural scene in Croydon

Night-time economy marketing strategy To further support and strengthen Croydon town centre’s night time economy, a co-ordinated marketing and promotional strategy will be developed in conjunction with key partners
