Cuisine Unlimited Cuisine Unlimited, Inc., founded by Maxine and Marvin Turner in 1985, is an award winning, $2,000,000 culinary business specializing in gourmet, off-premise catering. Ranked the top catering service in the United States by Event Solutions, Cuisine Unlimited, Inc. has been recognized by Utah Business Magazine as Utah’s Top Corporate Caterer. Among their many awards are Women Business Owner of the Year, SBA Utah Business of the Year and the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce awarded Cuisine Unlimited with the Small Business Giant Step Award in May, 2004. The owners of Cuisine Unlimited through their sister company, Culinary Expressions International, were selected as the USOC caterer for USA House in Athens Greece for the 2004 Olympic Games. Their services have now been requested for the 2006 games in Torino, Italy. Housed in a 16,000 sq. ft. building in Salt Lake City, Cuisine Unlimited creates entire events ranging from an intimate dinner for two in the woods to sumptuous weddings and corporate galas for over 10,000 people. Catering Services Cuisine Unlimited caters to sophisticated corporate and social events: exciting, elaborate, and wonderfully entertaining galas, buffets, dinners and theme parties. In addition to providing turn key event planning and execution, Cuisine Unlimited provides concession support at major sporting events and concerts. Culinary Expressions The Games experience began when Cuisine Unlimited was included in a delegation of Utah caterers asked to assist with corporate catering during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta - "that is when the Olympic bug bit" declared Maxine. When Salt Lake City hosted the Winter Games of 2002, Cuisine Unlimited had already been planning four years prior with their first Olympic contract two years before game time. The Salt Lake City Games experience has opened many new doors and created opportunities to be involved in other Olympic events. The Turner’s partnered with friends from New York who own the high-end catering company of Catering by Framboise. Together they formed Culinary Expressions International, their national and now international company…all formed because of the Salt Lake games. Though her hometown is not perceived as "the hub of the culinary world" the Olympic exposure and high praise from their Olympic clients, put them on the map. Requiring the preparation of 350,000 meals and the coordination of 350 event staff, the Games gave the company it's own taste for success. Two years before the Salt Lake games, they built a 16,000 square foot catering facility with offices, major kitchens and warehouse. Having all of this in place following the games has set Cuisine Unlimited apart as the leading caterer in their market. Most recently Culinary Expressions provided services in Athens for the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. Due to good planning, their Athens project was successful for both the client and financially for their company. So much so, that this client has signed them on for Torino. Future goals for CEI include three secured contracts to cater events for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. When asked if her company's Olympic experience met her expectations she compares it to "a pebble in the pool, where the rings keep getting bigger and better." Not only has she and her staff made "life-long friendships" but also the experience has magnified "who we are as a company" in terms of core values.
