crossland internship program The Crossland Internship Program is designed to promote the studies and interests of students enrolled in a Construction Management program. By bringing together hands-on experience and the opportunity for tuition assistance, our program both supplements a student’s curriculum and eases the financial burdens associated with a college education. During the course of a Crossland internship, the intern will help assist in the building process on a jobsite.

Crossland provides summer housing for all interns who are asked to move outside the market in which they live.

Crossland sends all returning summer interns Good Luck care packages at the conclusion of their spring semester and prior to the start of the summer internship season as part of our Final Rewards program. These returning interns can receive gift cards, Crossland swag gear, and/or boxes of goodies worth up to $30.00.

Please note – Crossland-provided housing is for the intern only. Spouses, children, pets, etc, are not permitted to reside in Crossland-paid housing. Crossland will assign roommates.

Crossland provides excellent networking opportunities for our interns. Interns will be invited to attend a minimum of three networking events. These networking events will be held at exciting market-specific venues, such as Top Golf, lake retreats, and baseball games.

Interns will have access to the current and future leaders of the Crossland companies. These connections are instrumental in an intern’s future success. A Crossland internship provides participants with the opportunities to ask the right people the right questions.

Crossland’s CEO has developed a step-by-step checklist that sets specific goals for our interns. This allows them to measure the knowledge they’ve gleaned during the internship process. Jobsite Superintendents and Mentors will walk them through their internship experience to ensure that the intern gets the most out of our Crossland Intern Program and is on a path to success.

The Crossland Intern Program offers additional monetary compensation in the form of tuition assistance to interns who receive a favorable evaluation upon completion of their summer internship. Criteria include job performance, grade level, and overall transcript.

Updating As-Build drawings Tracking of production, identifying problems, projecting remaining cost Preparing the Three-Week Look Ahead

Participating in weekly safety meetings Helping with safety enforcement on the jobsite Supervising small crews Checking Quality Control, verifying plans and specifications Performing quantity control take-offs for material ordering and procuring competitive pricing Distributing Punch List, with follow up Putting self-perform work into place (phase-dependent)

CANDIDATE EVALUATIONS Crossland will evaluate all applications. Determining acceptance factors/criteria include availability, academic performance, and interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry. Crossland determines the available number of intern positions and locations annually.

+ Internship Eligibility Requirements: + Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and a 3.0 in construction courses.

+ Must be enrolled as a full-time student. + Must be committed to participating in a paid summer internship with Crossland.

Once the candidate has been offered an intern position, the offer is contingent upon our receipt of the following documentation, listed below.
