Assistant Business Manager Part time 30 Hrs/Week Cromwell College is a residential college within the University of Queensland at St Lucia, associated with the Uniting Church. Cromwell is a “home away from home” for 300 undergraduate and post-graduate students. We currently have a vacancy for a part time Assistant Business Manager working 30 hours per week and reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Principal and Administration team to deliver excellence in customer service, high level administrative support and promote the ongoing good works of the College. The position will be responsible for the following: • • • • • • • • • • • •
Accounts Payable Responsible for Accounts Receivable (Catered beds only) Maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger / bank statements Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements Preparation of fortnightly Payroll Monitor and manage Blue Cards for all staff and volunteers within the college Preparation of daily banking Petty cash reconciliation Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts Assist in the preparation of the annual financial audit Monitor stationery supplies and order as appropriate Provide administrative support for the Business Manager
Selection Criteria • • • •
Degree Qualified Accounting/ or Business discipline Commencement or ability to commence CPA/CA studies Proficiency with Microsoft Office (essential) Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
