CRJ has asked the first 1000 private and public companies from Romania in terms of number of employees and annual turnover to respond to a survey regarding their internal ethics and compliance system. The companies were selected based on their accounting balance for the year 2011.
The contact data and balance sheet of those 1000 companies were gathered from these websites: www.doingbusiness.ro, www.mfinante.ro and www.onrc.ro (based on subscription).
In conducting this research, CRJ worked with 10 volunteers – law students. CRJ team sent these companies e-mails and fax messages and invited them to fill out an online survey regarding their internal ethics and compliance system.
The survey had 12 questions and it was available to be filled out until the 15th of February 2013. All the companies that filled out the online survey had received an invitation to the 2013 Business Ethics and Compliance Conference.
