Engineering Manager

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for supporting Project Managers and the Project Management Office (PMO) with general project management administrative assistance. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 2 year degree in Engineering or Technical Project Management curriculum, with at least 2 years related work experience in highly customer-oriented and technical project management. COMPUTER SKILLS NEEDED: MS Project and MS Office Suite; AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Inventor a plus. Or, any CAD experience. TRAVEL: Up to 20%. WORK ENVIRONMENT: 80% normal office work with 20% travel to include some heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and other physical type work at times. SCOPE OF WORK Project Coordination • • • • • • •

Update and perform all general maintenance of project schedules. Submit and expedite RFQ’s as needed. Revise and/or create general arrangement and installation drawings as necessary using AutoCAD Inventor software. Expedite other supplier supplied information as needed. Collect and organize technical information relative to projects. Schedule meetings and produce meeting notes. Provide general support and assistance to the Project Management department.

Project Accounting and Purchasing • • •

Update and maintain project schedules with actual labor. As directed, update project budgets. Expedites quotes and purchases as needed.

Technical Understanding: • Possesses strong aptitude towards mechanical engineering principles, system level design, applications, and trouble shooting. • Possesses thorough understanding of our capabilities. • Possesses strong practical knowledge of IT resources; Internet, Intranet, Applications, CAD, and general PC knowledge.
