Non-Ferrous Equipment The demand to recover and recycle a greater percentage of the automobile shredder residue (ASR) stream is increasing for both economic and environmental reasons. As profit margins within the ferrous marketplace erode and operating costs continue to increase, it is vital to recover as much of the available metal units as possible in order to stay competitive.

systems specifically engineered and designed to recover non-ferrous metals from ASR. Along with our traditional plant designs, Wendt also designs modular non-ferrous plants that help to minimize installation costs.

Modular Design Features Steel Support Structure: The M6090 is built with a unique modular design which includes a pre-fabricated steel base which connects the shredder mill, motor, and pin-puller. The support structure allows the M6090 to be installed on a flat concrete pad which eliminates the need for permanent custom-designed concrete piers.

CURTAIN REDUCES FRAG THROWN FROM FEED CHUTE

Pre-Fabricated Motor Building: A pre-fabricated motor building mounts on our structural frame, which provides protection for the DC motor and includes filtered ducting for motor cooling. Fluid Power House: A pre-fabricated Fluid Power House is located under the pin puller platform. This turn-key hydraulic enclosure includes all hydraulic controls for the mill, such as feed roll lift, feed roll rotation, mill maintenance functions, bearing lubrication units and mill water injection systems. The enclosure will arrive on-site pre-piped, pre-wired and fully tested.

Electrical House: Electrical components for the shredder come fully installed with Motor Control and PLC Panels in the E-House. Motor controls are installed in the E-House, tested and ship complete. Operator Control House: The Operator Control House can be mounted in its traditional location above the shredder or remotely off to the side. Optional PTZ and infrared cameras provide optimal viewing of the plant from the control room.

AutoDriver™ Control System The M6090 can be fully automated with WENDT AutoDriver™ Controls. It incorporates automatic DFR lift and float to improve feeding, as well as independent variable speed control of the infeed conveyor and feed roll to maximize main motor HP and maintain full box shredding. The AutoDriver™ Recipe Screen allows the end user to alter key operating parameters to customize performance and maximize throughput.

Installation Savings: The modular design features of the M6090 allow for significantly lower total project costs compared to a “traditional style” shredder installation. These design features eliminate the need for a shredder building which would typically support the pulpit, and contain the motor, hydraulic, and electrical rooms. In addition to the reduction of the physical infrastructure, the M6090’s design greatly reduces the overall installation time and the costs associated with concrete, hydraulic, and electrical contractors.
