PATHS FOR THE FUtURE Michelle & Scott Pitman
FOUNDER OF THE LADY BUGG HOUSE
Letter from the
Hello friends! It is that time of the year again… where we breathe easy right before the “craziness” of the holidays consumes all of our time and energy. Maybe this year we can all make a few minor changes and ease our stress. Try scheduling some “secret time” just for you & your heavenly Father. This will make a difference in your state of mind and overall happiness through the holiday season. I will share that one of my “secret” places I spend time with the Lord is in my closet. Now I realize that this is no longer my secret place because I just told you…..but if you are a parent, you probably understand why a closet might be the perfect “secret” place. Sometimes it’s 3 am when I am spending time with Him. Just me, my Bible, my heavenly Father and complete silence. I encourage each and every one of you to find your secret place and take time to be peaceful this holiday season.

SOUTHERN BELLE Antiques Did you know Southern Belle Antiques and Interiors in Goddard has CeCe Caldwell all natural chalk and clay paint classes? E-mail, Facebook, or call for details. A lifelong love of striving to make our house a home has been the inspiration for Southern Belle Antiques and Interiors. I grew up in a family business. I saw my parents and sister daily. Our children even had their playpens in the offices. My mothers example during this time played a large role in giving me the courage to go ahead with this dream of mine. She worked all day, but still had a desire to have a warm and comforting home for us. I had a wonderful role model. So starting a small family business didn’t seem like a big stretch. Even though our children are grown and away from home, my wonderful husband of 27 years is always ready to help. I, along with most women have a God given natural instinct to feather their nest. To make their homes into a place where family and friends feel comfortable to gather. I have felt that need since I was a young bride. At Southern Belle Antiques and Interiors, we try to help each person find the perfect piece for their home. We encourage everyone to bring a picture of their space to help us better understand what they

are striving to achieve. Two things , I think are important to a warm home. First, when you have hard surfaces, such as wood floors, leather furniture, ect. It is best to mix in some soft surfaces for balance. Pillows, curtains, rugs, even some greenery. Balance is key. Second, a few large statement pieces can be a nice balance when you have a collection of things, like clocks, figurines, books. Putting your items in a tray can also help you display your items, yet keep them from looking cluttered. We also sell and have classes for a line of paint that is an all natural chalk and clay. CeCe Caldwell. Sometimes all you need to refresh your space is to bring an old tired piece back to life with a coat of paint. Just open the jar and start to create. I believe we can help you find that something special you are looking for. Be it a baby gift, wedding gift, teacher gift, that lovely piece for your home, even a painting class. We would love to have you come spend some time with us. We are a very short drive west of Wichita, located at 103 North Main in Goddard, Kansas. We feel blessed beyond measure to have had so many wonderful people pass thru our door, we would love to see you too. Blessings and thanks bunches!

Lady Bugg Mission Statement Mentoring young mothers and their children who are committed to change and Spiritual growth to impact generations.
Purpose Statement The purpose of the Lady Bugg House, Inc. is to help young mothers become self-sufficient by providing them with a safe living environment, education, spiritual discipleship, biblical counseling and support for long-term economic independence, child development, parenting, and life skills. Statement of Faith We are a faith-based ministry that believes the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that there is only one true God and that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe that Jesus became fully man, that He died on the cross, that He rose from the dead and that He is the only way to bridge the gap of sin between God and people, thus He is the only way to have a relationship with God now, and eternal life with God in heaven. We are Pro-Life and believe that life begins at the moment of conception. We believe there are no exceptions. We believe that adoption is a beautiful parenting option for a mother to choose and we want to support her during and after her pregnancy if she chooses adoption for her child. Funding Information The Lady Bugg House, Inc. is a non-profit ministry funded solely through private cash, goods and service donations. We are a 501(c)3 ministry so all donations are tax-deductible.
